But whom say ye that I Am

"He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am" (‭Matthew‬ ‭16‬:‭15‬ KJV)? None of us are made perfect. We all have flaws, defects, problems, issues, and sins that arise in our lives. We should realize that we are just human beings who make mistakes, and we should try to learn from them every time we find ourselves far from Christ. Peter, the disciple of Jesus Christ, was a man who had a heart and determination to know who Christ was. Just like us, Peter was not perfect in any way. We read about how Peter was a strong hearted man. Just like many of us, he was a man who spoke up before he thought. However, God gave him a revelation of who Jesus was, "the Christ, the Son of the living God." The Holy Spirit has been given to you and I to teach us about the person Jesus Christ. The journey of the school of the Spirit can teach us along the way. The flesh likes to get in the way, trying to lead one in the direction opposed to Christ. You may find yourself with scars from the battles along the way. It can get frustrating and overwhelming, but we do not go through these hours of trials alone. We have the Great Shepherd, who has brought light to our lives and victory through the cross. Every failure in our lives is covered by His blood. We are victorious in the blood of Christ. Do not let your failures get the best of you, but let Christ have all of you. God bless you. Amen

Reign over them

"And the LORD said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them" (‭I Samuel‬ ‭8‬:‭7‬ NKJV). It is a choice of the people of whom they would allow to rule their lives. The children of Israel wanted to be like all the other nations that surrounded them. They desired a king over them, one that would have a rule not only over their cities but also their lives. They chose a man instead of a prophet of God. They chose the way of the world instead of the kingdom of God. The Lord allowed them to make their choice and choose for themselves a king. Sometimes we too can get caught up and misdirected by our own decisions and choices, not really knowing what we truly want for our own lives. The people chose Saul as king of their nation. In doing so, the prophet Samuel warned them about what would come to pass if a man had lordship over their kingdom. We too must be watchful of the choices we make. It is Jesus Christ who has reign over the church. It is Jesus Christ who has the authority to place man and remove man. Man is bound to fail and disappoint in one way or another. We can easily become weak and tempted by ungodly things. We tend to look out for ourselves instead of others, and the church is starting to look more like the world. Be watchful in this late hour. We can easily follow after and agree with issues that are of this world and not of the kingdom of God. God bless you. Amen

New every morning

"Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness" (‭Lamentations‬ ‭3‬:‭22,23 NKJV). It's a new day, along with a new year. Time sure does fly by. Just think about all the storms you went through, all the valleys you climbed out of, and how the Lord Jesus was there every moment of your journey. What a blessing this last year was for you and I. Our Lord got us through it alive in Him. There were many times I found myself complaining along the journey. There were also many times where rivers of tears flowed from my eyes because of the hurt. Just like many of the saints of old, the journey may seem long at the time we're going through it, but there is an end to every journey and a new beginning right at the end. Our Lord Jesus has erased the struggles, sufferings, rejections, and failures that we faced. How good He is! He has brought us to a new day once again. Let us praise the Lord Jesus for all He has done for us this last year, for the blessings that He poured out upon us with love and grace. Just when we didn't think we were going to make it, Jesus came through and proved himself faithful once again. Let us remember those trying times of faith and the great victories won in this last year. Let this new year be even more powerful than the last. Happy new year! God bless you. Amen

The door.

"Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep" (‭John‬ ‭10‬:‭7‬ NKJV). Back in biblical times, the shepherd would build a corral with stone, and then place thorny branches on top of the stone to keep the wolves or any other predators out. The entry way was for the shepherd. They had no gate or door. This was the shepherd's place. He was the door. It was the shepherd's job to watch over his flock and make sure no predators came near them. He had a staff, and he would scare the predators away and line up his flock in the right direction with his staff. At sundown, he would gather them all, call them into the entryway, and keep watch over them as they slept. In early morning, the shepherd would move out of the entryway, allowing the sheep to go by, and count his sheep as they went out into the pasture. They were familiar with his voice. He was the one who protected them, who led them to water and green pastures. We have a greater Shepherd, who is Jesus Christ, who takes care of us and leads us through every valley. He is the door, the one who protects us from the enemy, restores us, and brings us into full life. He leads us into the living water. He is the Living Water. He is our Bread of Life, for we shall never hunger nor thirst. Jesus is our everything. He is watching over you and I forever. God bless you. Amen

And you shall know the truth

"Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭31-32‬ NKJV). The Word of God is powerful. It is alive, active, and ever so moving upon the soul who allows it. The Word of God will either put a man on his knees, or the man will run from the Word. This is our daily bread, and we must believe totally in what we are communing with. Jesus Christ is the Word and the Truth, all-in-one. This is the Living Word of God, and it has been given unto everyone of us. It is our instruction in righteousness. It is to edify, build, correct, and discipline. The Word of God is Jesus Christ. If we abide in His word, He will abide in us. He is and always will be the Everlasting Word. Man has always tried to get rid of this Word, only to find out it can never be taken away from a heart that is surrendered wholly to God. One cannot be ignorant to the fact that when they open up this Word it speaks truth and nothing other than the truth. Jesus Christ is the Truth, which comes forth as the Word. He is all in all. Everything about this Word is Jesus Christ. He is alive and living. He is the Lord of lords, our risen King. Living in the truth is living in Jesus Christ. There is abundant life that awaits everyone who knows the truth. The Truth is Jesus, and Jesus shall make you free. God bless you. Amen

I AM the Resurrection

"Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying" (‭John‬ ‭11‬:‭25‬ NLT). It's all about Jesus. Christ is everything. Everything that God has given us and shows to us in the Word of God points to Jesus Christ. This is what the Word of God brings us. It is all about our Lord Jesus. In the Gospel of John, we hear about Jesus being in the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. Without Jesus, we would not have any gospels. We would not have any Word of God, for He is the Word of God. He is all that we need in our lives. We also read about Jesus being the Bread of Life. He is the bread that brings life to man, and anyone who eats of this bread will have everlasting life. God's eye is on Jesus Christ. He only beholds our Lord. I hope that we all may realize that Christ Jesus is everything that you and I need. He is also the giver of the living waters that bring life to the church and a barren heart. Our Lord is the head of the church, the beginning and the end. Through Him and in Him, we will flourish and be seen in the light of His Majesty. He is the light of this world, and those who follow in His steps will also walk in the light and not in the darkness. He is our authority, our creator, and the Great I AM. Give our Lord praise. God bless you. Amen

By faith

"For we walk by faith, not by sight" (‭II Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬ NKJV). All eyes on our Lord Jesus Christ. Faith is the path we are walking in, and the Light of Christ is the lead. Under the will of the Lord, a person is built into an image that can be recognized. There is nothing more greater than one who has given themselves to the will and guidance of the Holy One. This is a life of victory over the enemy, when a person can renounce their own abilities, talents, goals, and lifestyles. The devil can't find a way into the child of God. All areas of their own lives have been given to the King of Glory. Every stone has been turned over. There is nothing hiding in the dark. It all has come into the light. The world is behind them. There is nothing that draws them away from the Kingdom of God. They have made up their minds that they cannot turn back. Their eyes are not on this world as much as they are on the Lord above. They walk with the Word of God. They are hungry for more knowledge, clarity, and love from above. Walk by faith and see the Lord move in your midst. God bless you. Amen
