Striving after wind
"For to the one who pleases him God has given wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he has given the business of gathering and collecting, only to give to one who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind" (Ecclesiastes 2:26 ESV). Worldly people are after the worldly things. They are a people that dream of having all that the world has to offer. They are envious in nature and conceded by all means. They are people that put themselves above everyone and everything, reaching for whatever they can get their hands on. They find themselves chasing after riches, glamour, materials, and everything else the world has. They desire what their neighbor has. It is what they want also. This wanting comes without an end. King Solomon, the son of David and the wisest man ever to live, had everything he could have possibly ever wanted from this world. He had wives, concubines, servants, gold, and silver, yet this man lived in his older age empty and with a great void. What the world assumes will keep them happy, King Solomon said that they are worthless, empty, and all vanity. These worldly things are just temporal. They are here for a short time or possibly longer then we will ever live, only to have someone take it and make it their own. Many will stress out, break a sweat, and break their backs for the things of this world, yet not put a single ounce of their soul resting in Jesus Christ. What this world offers is all vanity. Let us put our eyes upon Jesus, while the sinner gathers and collects. Besides, God has great blessings for you and I. God bless you. Amen

The Blood of Christ.
"How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God" (Hebrews 9:14 KJV)? The precious blood of Jesus has made a way for man to come near God the Father. The blood of bulls and goats was powerless. It could not purge the heart of man. When we were all far from Him, living a life by one's own strength, striving after the emptiness of the world, and trying to save ourselves from the wretchedness that was in our lives, helplessness and hopelessness was all we had to stand on. Death was a familiar friend to the mind. Heartache and heartbreak was what kept our hearts beating with emptiness in our lives. We tried every way to keep joy, whether it was through drugs, alcohol, sex, work, or family time. Nonetheless, there was still a void in the heart. There was a hunger for something better and greater. Nothing in this world can fulfill the void in our hearts. This place will only tie up one's heart, leaving them lost and seeking for more. However, in due time Christ was foreordained and came to set the captive free. He broke the chains that once held us down. His blood has purged away our sin. "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot" (1 Peter 1:18, 19 KJV). We serve an awesome God! Give Him praise. God bless you. Amen

Then said He
"Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all" (Hebrews 10:9, 10 KJV). The Sacrifice of Jesus Christ took away the first covenant, satisfying its demands and establishing the new covenant. The new covenant was established at the cross, where Jesus hung and died so that all the world could see, know, understand, and be redeemed. He came to set the sinner free. He came to fulfill the law of God. He came to redeem mankind from unrighteousness. The blood from Emmanuel's veins washes the sinner from all sins' stains. He washes all of our sins away. He washes those who come to Him, who draw to Him by faith and believe what He has done for everyone of us. The Lamb of God was slain for you and I, so that we may be free. His very blood was pleasing unto God the Father, and God the Father excepted Him as a sacrifice for all humanity from then into eternity. This is the new covenant, not brought forth by the works or the hands of man but by the very man of God, Jesus Christ. "Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us" (Hebrews 9:12 KJV). Give God praise. God bless you. Amen

Life more abundantly
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10 KJV). Satan is out and about, and he wants to steal the joy of God's children. When he gets the joy from the heart of God's children, he begins to kill them from the inside out, spiritually. Then comes the great fall from the faith. That is his game, and he has been doing it for centuries, as he continues to do it today and into tomorrow. Give God praise, for the devil is upset today because the children of God grieve at the feet of Jesus. The devil is mad and furious at the church of God these days. He would love to stop those who seek the Lord in Spirit and in Truth, those that are worshiping Jesus night and day with their daily lives. They got the devil shaken up and running in circles in these last days. The devil cannot take or steal from us if we don't let him. We the believer, must stand up in the faith of our Lord Jesus. The devil can only have power over us if we open the door to him when he knocks. Most of the time the problem is not the world. It is our own hearts. If we harbor sin in our lives, it only gives the enemy access into our lives. Whether sin is done out in the open or hidden, it gives power to the enemy, giving him reign over our lives. "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness" (Romans 6:16 KJV)? This is the truth. We can easily become slaves to our own passions that come straight out of this world. Satan is out to tempt and destroy the children of God, and he will use the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, to lead God's children astray. Keep watch and be cautious at all times for the devil is out on the hunt. God bless you. Amen

The Lamb
"And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!" (John 1:36 KJV). Look and seek! Run to the Lamb of God! Behold the Lamb of God has come. He has come for the just, the unjust, the righteous, and the unrighteous. God has given us His only begotten Lamb for the ultimate sacrifice. God became man with the full intention that His perfect physical body was to be offered up as a sacrifice on the cross. What man cannot do, nor books upon books or conference after conference, God made it possible by giving humanity freedom through the sacrifice of Christ that has fulfilled all other sacrifices. Jesus knew His destiny, and He came into this world, formed in a body, willing and ready to become a sacrificial Lamb of God for everyone of us. God saw how the blood of the bulls, goats, and the burnt offerings were not taking away the sin of man. "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins" (Hebrews 10:4 KJV). Christ Jesus, our redeemer, came to bleed and die, as "a lamb to the slaughter", for you and I. Humiliation, suffering, and agony was put upon Him. Guilt and sin from everyone of us hung on Calvary's hill. Behold the Lamb of God, who taketh away the sin of the world! God bless you. Amen

Calvary
"And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left" (Luke 23:33 KJV). The power of the cross of Christ sets the sinner free. In the beginning of Jesus's ministry, He went out to the dark places, to those who were lost in and by darkness. During the last three years of His ministry, He healed, preached, set free, and taught all who believed and had an ear to listen. However, His main objective was to see the captive set free from the chains of sin. Jesus came for the sinner, those who were rejected, broken, lost, and without hope. The only way the guilt and shame would ever be removed from the children of God was at the cross. Jesus humbled Himself to take the sins of the world upon Himself, without a complaint. He did it because He loved the world. All through His ministry He was found among the sinners, the liar, the thief, the adulterer, the murderer, the drunkard, and the common man, even up to the time of His death. He died between two sinners. He came with a purpose, and there's no doubt He fulfilled every bit of it. Thank God for all He has done and continues to do. Give Him praise. God bless you. Amen

His cross
"And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst" (John 19:17, 18 KJV). The cross is the power of God, and there at the cross we've found freedom for all those who believe in Christ Jesus. It brings sanctification to the born-again believer's life, restoring one back to the glory of God the Father. It gives the child of God eternal inheritance and everlasting life in the kingdom of Heaven. The cross brings deliverance from sin, bondage, addiction, and the past. It all starts at the cross, and one cannot follow after Christ without taking up their cross. Jesus faced every kind of sin and temptation that man has ever had to face. He carried every guilt and shame we have ever had in our hearts on the cross up to Calvary. He took the burdens of each and everyone of us, along with all the iniquity and transgressions of the world. Agonizing pain was upon Him, yet He did not look back, nor regret the very moments He bared the cross. He saw the finish line before He had finished. Nails had to be pounded into His wrists and a spear thrust into His side, yet He saw the work was about to be finished for all humanity to walk in freedom. The cross has set the captives free, breaking them free from the bondage of evil and wickedness. Liberty is found at the cross of Christ. Our faith must be in Jesus Christ and all that was done at Calvary. God bless you. Amen

The High places
"And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places" (1 Kings 3:3 KJV). King Solomon loved the Lord, but he had a flesh issue. He could not get away from the sin nature, even with all the wisdom he had. There are just some things that we need help with, and the battle against the flesh is one of them. Many great kings in the Old Testament fell to the lust of the flesh because of the sin nature. Many started off knowing God in a powerful way. They followed the Lord for a time. Then the pride of life, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes began to turn their hearts away from the living God. Sin does not start from the outside of one's life. Yes, there is a lot of sin and ungodliness that surrounds our lives that we can visibly see , but it is up to the individual whom they are going to serve. Sin starts from within man's heart and the desires that are there. If one chooses to put water in his or her gas tank, what can they expect? It is the same with sin. We have a choice to allow it to manifest and take part in it or to stand firm against it in the Holy Spirit. In the days we are living in, the Bible states that many will fall away from the faith due to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons. Many will be lovers of self, lovers of pleasure, boastful, conceited, and living for their own desires, as the gates of hell grow bigger. That is their choice, but it does not have to be ours. Jesus has made a way for everyone of us to walk free from sin and death. "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?" (Romans 6:16 KJV). God bless you. Amen

Yield yourselves unto God.
"Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God" (Romans 6:13 KJV). He that is dead is separated from his former company, business, enjoyment, and employment, and he has nothing to do with it anymore. Death makes drastic changes in one's life. It cuts off all correspondence. The Apostle Paul speaks to us saying, "sin must not reign in our mortal bodies that we should obey it", but the only way this can come to pass is if we die to the flesh and yield all our members to Christ Jesus. Sin lies to the body, and it ever so desires to gratify it. It is a pity that many use their body, what was wonderfully made in the image of God, for a tool or an instrument of the devil. These bodies of ours should not be used as instruments of sin, but of righteousness unto our Lord Jesus Christ. Walking in the newness of life can have its struggles. Temptation is all around us, and many times the flesh does get aroused and wants to take control. It is up to us and what is in our hearts. We have to make the decision whom we are going to serve, whether it be sin, which is death, or Christ, which is Life. Let's not forget that Jesus has given us the Holy Spirit as a help to lead and guide us. During the times of struggle and temptation, there is no one greater to ask for help from. God did not leave us helpless, but He has given us a Helper. Walk in the course of the Word of God, on the new path with new companions. Christ is our spiritual life, and there is no way to live for God but through Him. God bless you. Amen

That old man
"Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin" (Romans 6:6 KJV). Know that we as believers, born-again children of God, are no longer slaves to the law of sin, but alive in Christ Jesus. The cross of Christ breaks the power of darkness and sin. It is at the cross, where the blood of Jesus was poured out, that liberty is continually brought to all mankind. He brought freedom from sin and darkness, everything thing that kept man bound. The chains broke. The doors were opened for the captives to walk free. The cross was the place where Christ took authority over every bit of darkness. It is the place where everyone comes by faith and are baptized unto His death. When Christ died 2,000 years ago, we, as the believers, died with Him. "Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord" (vs.11). When He rose out of that tomb, we also rose in a newness of life, resurrected, as a child of God. Our sins and the old life, the past that we carried upon our shoulders, are buried in the tomb and gone forever. Believe and allow God to take dominion over your born-again life. God bless you. Amen

Carnal
"For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I" (Romans 7:14, 15 KJV). On his journey with the Lord, the Apostle Paul found out that there was something inside of him that kept him from doing what was right in the sight of God. This man of God, who had a powerful relationship with the King of Glory, was frustrated and broken. The more he tried to do what was right, the further he possibly felt from God. "O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?" (vs.24). Ever since the fall of Adam, mankind has been battling with himself, due to this sin nature that is within everyone of us. The sin nature is the opposite of the will of God. It wants to be in charge, doing its own thing. The more one feeds it, the bigger it grows. Soon, one will be unable to keep it under control. It feeds on the things of the world. It has an appetite for the sensual desires, passions of lusts, and cravings to be praised and lifted up. It desires to do its own thing. It ever so wants to be in control and not under control. It can harden the heart of man, keeping him away from the whole truth. It will lie in order to keep one to oneself. It brings spiritual death to the mind and heart of man. This carnal nature cannot please God. Sooner or later all believers will come to the conclusion that one of the greatest battles man has to fight is surrendering himself wholeheartedly to Christ Jesus and the cross. "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin" (vs. 25). Repent and surrender your whole heart. God bless you. Amen

God is light
"This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all" (1 John 1:5 KJV). There is no life outside of God. All else is death, and likewise, there is no true knowledge, wisdom, or understanding. Without His Light, everything is all darkness. His light is found in His Word, and His Word sheds light into the life of man. There's nothing other than truth inside the Lord's glorious light, for darkness cannot prevail or dwell around Him. He is the true light, and we, as His children, must be watchful for the counterfeit that is out there in this world, that is made up by the devil himself. Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, claiming to be true, going to and fro, and deceiving and deluding the hearts of men. Satan has been doing this for decades, and he continues to do so. Meanwhile, hell continues to overflow with souls that have fallen into his delusion. Some have fallen from the faith, but others don't know any better. They find themselves following after this false light. The only way to know the truth is to walk and be in fellowship with the Lord, who is the true Light. "For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light" (Ephesians 5:8 KJV). We know what it is like to walk in darkness, with every action and intent of the heart behind it. So, be aware of the darkness. It can come in subtly. Walk as children of light, and constantly be in fellowship with God in the name of Jesus Christ. Then there will be no room for darkness. God bless you. Amen

And there was light
Where there is light darkness cannot prevail. "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light" (Genesis 1:3 KJV). God is the light, and that light continues to expand to bring forth life. God separated the light from the darkness, making each one distinguished from one another. Darkness is simply the absence of light, and the darkness cannot comprehend the light. The light is powerful, and it overwhelms the darkness. If one was to be shut in a dark room, with no light, that person would not be able to see inches in front of them. However, if there was a small light in that room, then it becomes possible for that person to see what's in front of them. God gave us light, not only to bring growth and life into this world but as a visible path for every believer who follows Christ Jesus. God has given us His Word, His Truth, to be our guide in this world. His Word ever so keeps the believer moving forward, and it shall not keep them lagging behind. His Word is a Lamp and a Light to life's path. "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path" (Psalms 119:105 KJV). It is the true spiritual Light, and every believer must get to know it. The Light reveals hidden secrets of man's heart and the desires that are bound up inside. The Light makes everything visible. Nothing can hide from God's glorious Light. Men will try to hide their evil ways, their perversions, and their lustful desires in the darkness, but the Light of Christ automatically reveals what is hidden by the darkness. The very truth is revealed in the Light. So many men refuse the Light, lest their deeds be reproved. Allow the Word of God, the true Light, to guide your life today. One cannot see where they are going in this dark world without the guidance of God's glorious Light, Jesus Christ. God bless you. Amen

Ashamed
"Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly" (Psalms 6:10 KJV). There is no shame in serving Christ Jesus. When one is set free, they desire only one thing, that is to glorify God the Father. The Israelites were afraid, and every time the Philistine came down to the valley they feared for their lives. They were afraid to fight this man of a giant because fear contaminated their hearts. There is no fear in our Lord. However, when one is walking under their own authority and strength, fear will arise and keep them back from the valley they must walk through. Then David came, a young man filled with the power of God and one familiar with His presence. Fear was not about to keep him back from the giant that came against the God of Israel. Young David had no fear within his heart as he ran down to the valley to meet a warrior. He was not ashamed of being a child of God or Who he represented. God gave David strength and power to demonstrate power from His very own throne. Even if the Philistines laughed and mocked at this young boy, coming up against the champion, it did not matter to David. He knew God had the victory. The enemy is going to laugh, mock, ridicule, and make fun of every believer that steps into the valley. Today there are many demons or dark spirits that people are fighting, and they stand in front of them teasing and mocking them, ready to fill them with fear. Victory comes through God the Father, who gives men and women His strength to stand in the valley and face the enemy. We do not fight our own battles. God is there to fight them for us. Our job is to have faith and make our way into the valley to show the enemy he is not going to get the victory. Let's not be ashamed of Whom we serve or find ourselves hiding in this dark world. Let's face the enemy of darkness, for we are the children of Light. God bless you. Amen

One thing you still lack
"When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing you still lack. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me" (Luke 18:22). Many of us carry heaviness upon our hearts that cannot be shaken off very easily. The closer we draw to the Lord and the more we lean on Him, the lighter the burdens become. What was once a burden is not any longer. It is gone, forgotten about, as we give it over to the Lord. This is an ongoing battle in our lives. No matter how hard we try to keep certain things from touching our hearts, it seems like the more we find ourselves doing the opposite, trying to hold on to them. There is so much outside of the church walls that can take our eyes and minds off of Christ, for a few moments or even longer. When we get convicted, we find ourselves running back to Christ, ready to ask Him for forgiveness. How many times do we claim to be okay, but in reality we have a heart that is confused, mixed up, and bound by problems and issues of sin? See the problem wasn't the young man's riches, but his heart. As long as there is still selfishness within a man's heart, he will struggle following after the Lord. Jesus points to the issue, not only to this young man but to everyone who comes into a close distance to His Word. Christ will point directly to the problem and the issue at hand, showing us what has position over our hearts. Keep on fighting the good fight of faith, and allow the Word of God to analyze the very intent of your hearts. There is a treasure in Heaven waiting for us. We must follow Christ. God bless you. Amen

Who is weak
"Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not? If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not" (2 Corinthians 11:29-31 KJV). The apostle Paul took the Lord's words seriously when He spoke to him. The apostle arose, with the Holy Spirit burning inside of him, and went and proclaimed the Good News to the Gentile nation. Nothing could stop Paul from preaching the Truth or going to the ends of the earth for Christ Jesus. Persecution, suffering, chains, prison, hunger, and the cold was so familiar to this great man of God. Death and illness was close to the apostle, but the Spirit of God, that was strongly rooted in him, got him through it. He found himself weak in infirmities, but through it all God answered his prayers by saying, "My grace is sufficient". No flu or snakebite was stopping this man of God. God gave him a destiny, a future, a hope and direction, which did not stop until the world heard the Good News of Christ Jesus. He went where no man would have gone, and he fought the enemy like no other. He finished the race. He fought the good fight of faith, pressing through in prayer, fasting, and worshiping the Lord. Nothing could stop this great man of God, nothing. God bless you. Amen

The cross
"But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world" (Galatians 6:14 KJV). The apostle Paul placed his faith and heart into the Lord Jesus Christ and the cross. Just as Christ was crucified unto the world, so the apostle Paul speaks of himself as being separated and crucified unto the world. This is the life of a true believer, a man of God who did not turn back to the world, but held fast to the cross and the message it spoke. The cross of Christ broke the yoke of sin off the heart of man. It has come to demonstrate the power of God to man and to darkness. The cross of Christ has been setting the sinner free, and it continues to do so. Many are offended by the Message of the Cross. It speaks and stands against all sin. It points right to the problem, the very heart of man. If man does not want to know the Truth or take care of the problem, they will find themselves offended by the Message of the Cross. Jesus carried man's sins upon that cross, and He became a substitute for us all. All the burdens and weights that were on man's shoulders, from the beginning of time until that day at Calvary and forevermore, hung on that cross over 2,000 years ago. The Cross represents freedom and liberty through Christ Jesus, who is the Way. It is at the cross that man has freedom from sin, bondage, all addiction, and the appetites of the flesh. The weight of sin, condemnation, shame, and guilt is lifted from the believer's heart, who bears the Message of the Cross of Christ faithfully. Give God praise, for He is worthy of this Good News. God bless you. Amen

The flesh
"For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live" (Romans 8:13 KJV). Victory and salvation do not come through ones' own strength and ability. For if we live by the flesh, we will surely die. The flesh does not have the ability to bring one to the cross of Christ, nor can it surrender to the Lord. The flesh has its own desires, and most of them are against God's prescribed order. The flesh, otherwise know as the sin nature, separates man from the will of God. It does not bring forth anything pleasing unto our Lord, but it chooses to stay separated, living a life alone. The sin nature has desires of its own. These desires are to satisfy his own. They are the appetites that do not come from God. It has a hunger to sustain man's selfish needs, using everything he can from this world to sustain himself. The flesh only thirsts after the things of this world not the things from above, for it is in opposition to the Holy Spirit. To be carnal minded is enmity against God. There is no way anyone could live and be guided under the flesh and still try to live in faith. The flesh is rebellious to the Truth of God, for it wants to remain in charge. A born-again believer can only live in victory under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. He brings the Word of God to life as one reads and studies it. He wrote it, and He will interpret it to the seeker's heart. All scriptures are God-breathed, and when the breath of God comes to a sinner, the Spirit of God will awaken them and bring them to life. He was given for us all, and He is here to bring life and an abundance of it to all. God bless you. Amen

Beareth witness
"The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God" (Romans 8:16 KJV). We are full of power through the Holy Spirit. We have a living witness inside of us. We should enjoy all the privileges that come to us from God as children of God. He has given us the spirit of adoption, adopting us into the family of God. The Holy Spirit enables the children of God to call God "father", so we cry Abba Father. The Holy Spirit also brings forth correction to one's life, a life filled with faith and hope. The Spirit of God brings forth a power of conviction, and it sanctifies and separates the believer from the things that are not acceptable unto God. He is a God-given gift to keep the believer alive and in line with God the Father. The Spirit of God speaks with boldness and has no fear. It is the power of God living on this earth inside of individuals who believe. It is the holiness of God, and He demonstrates God's grace to individuals, His unmerited favor, the goodness of God. He brings a fire of judgment to burn away any contamination and corruption from man's heart. There is a power behind the Holy Spirit, and this power is not to be taken lightly. He is here to demonstrate God's grace and love. He is here to bring sight to the blind, healing to the broken, and to set the captives free. Jesus gives us His Spirit so that we may be witnesses and live a victorious life, consecrated from the lust of the flesh, the pride of life, and the lust of the eyes. He is here to edify the body of Christ and to build God's holy temple in every believer. God is good, and his mercies endure forever. Give God praise today, and allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide your life. God bless you. Amen

Rejoice
"Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain" (Philippians 2:16 KJV). Do not take your heart off the Word of God. It is the Word of Life, and many people need genuine life out there in this world. He will never leave you. We must seek Him as we never have before. Jesus moved upon this earth like no other man, and He brought freedom and liberty to those who followed him and believed. He healed those who were sick and gave life back to the broken hearted. He saw the children of Israel in need and how far they had gone from the truth. He recognized their need for a true savior. We, who are also in this world at this time, are in great need of the same Savior, Jesus, who gave Himself on the cross for our sins. His blood that was poured out is the new covenant, giving all who believe everlasting life. He gave Himself so that all may be free from the past and chains of yesterday, free from addictions and pains. There is no need to stay stuck in the past, bound by the old thoughts. Jesus has made a way out. He defeated the enemy and conquered the world. The Lord our God will and has made a way for His Children in this last hour to walk in freedom. Give Him praise. Worship Him with all of your strength. Seek and desire Him with all of your passion. He will open the doors. He will make a way. You're not running nor laboring in vain. Holdfast, for the Lord hears your prayer. Cry out to Jesus today. He is worthy. God bless you. Amen

Jesus answered
"And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God" (Luke 4:4 KJV). Satan is threatened by the Word of God and is under His authority. Be steadfast in the Word of God. The Word of God cannot be moved and will always be the final and supreme authority. He has never failed nor ever forsaken His children. He is our refuge and strong tower. The Word brings truth and holds to the truth, and it is powerful and alive, able to transform a life into a new creation. When being tempted in the wilderness by Satan, Jesus did not use His power from on high, but with the anointing of the Holy Spirit living inside of Him, He combated the enemy with the Word of God. The anointing of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God go hand in hand. It brings authority and power to the believers' heart. Satan recognizes that authority and fears it. He sees that you're not your own, but a child of God. This does not mean that he will stay away from you, but he will come back and try to deceive the child of God once again. He is out there constantly trying to lead the church, the man and woman of God, away from the truth, with a little compromise here and there. However, if we abide in the Truth, the Living Word of God, we will stand in victory. "But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you" (1 Peter 1:25 KJV). God bless you. Amen

Our inheritance
"And Naboth said to Ahab, The Lord forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee" (1 Kings 21:3 KJV). Naboth knew what he had inherited, and he was not about to compromise with it. It was priceless, something that money could not buy. This inheritance was given by God, for God gives His children the very best. Just because we stand against the enemy, does not mean he will stop trying our patience. Satan will not give up. He might walk away for a season, but he will always make his way back, just as he did in the wilderness with Jesus. "And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season" (Luke 4:13 KJV). The devil is out to take our inheritance, which comes from God the Father. Satan is out to deceive and delude the hearts of the believers. He is jealous and envious of all that we have been given by the Lord. He has taken from man from the very beginning, from the very first man on this earth, and he has done so ever since. Naboth stood his ground and did not let riches or possessions grab his heart, even if it did cost him his life. Why gain the whole world yet lose our very soul? Do not let Satan take any more then he already has. It is up to us to stand our ground with the Word of God. God bless you. Amen

He maketh the storm a calm
"He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still" (Psalms 107:29 KJV). From a place of comfort and self strength, step out onto the water and let Christ be the Lord of your life. The spiritual storms that surround us can get pretty strong. They can blow in the uproar and tear down. Sometimes they cause division between loved ones and bring hurt and bitterness. So many times, the storms that surround our lives in a lifetime are here to build up our faith. God does not allow them to push us down nor do they come to drown us in misery, but the storms come to build faith in you and I. Jesus knew the storms would come and cause chaos in lives. He has seen the hurt and the pain that spiritual storms have caused in homes and relationships. He has seen the inability of man rising up in one's own strength during a spiritual storm. So, Jesus comes when we cry out to Him. He has promised us that He will be there for us at all times. Just like His disciples, we also get fearful and may lose courage when problems arise from the spiritual storms. However, we as believers and disciples in the name of Jesus Christ build our house upon the Rock. We build our lives on the Word of God, Jesus Christ. Fear is common, and it will reach into a man's mind and heart and try to cause unbelief and confusion. The enemy has been using fear since the time man first came into the garden. Man hid from God. When the storms come, it is not the time to hide from God, but the time to hide ourselves in God. Give God praise. God bless you. Amen

The liberty wherewith Christ
"Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage" (Galatians 5:1 KJV). The power of the Holy Spirit transforms the heart of a born again believer. He brings liberty and a genuine freedom that is visible to all, to those who come into contact with an individual filled with His presence. They will not remain in the same old nature or bound by the same old character. Their desire to change will overtake their hearts. Constant growth will be seen in the born again believer. When trouble comes, they will ask, seek, and knock. The spirit filled believer will go to the source, Jesus Christ, when issues arise in their lives. When storms begin to cloud over their homes, their hearts, and their minds, they will run to God the Father. For they know that the only answer will come from Him and through Him. There is no stopping the believer from doing what God has called them to do. Living with the Holy Spirit is a guaranteed life of freedom. Trials and temptations will come, but God has given us His prescribed order to overcome. "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh"(vs. 16). God bless you. Amen

Every thought
"(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4, 5 KJV) We can be our own worst enemy. There have been many times that I have found myself fighting with the past, the present, and the future. Many times my old self has trapped me and kept me away from God. Sometimes we find ourselves making excuses to not step out in faith, and other times we bring up the past, which will lead us to doubt and possibly unbelief. Many people just might find themselves fighting and wrestling with their own thoughts and imaginations. Temptation usually starts in the mind, and it will lead us to the left or right. We might find ourselves wanting to give up and throw in the towel. Sometimes it is not easy serving the Lord Jesus Christ. You just might find yourself trying to please yourself, instead of trying to please Christ. We were not called to battle with ourselves, but to surrender ourselves to Him. We might find ourselves doing just the opposite. Jesus has given us everything that we need to stand and live for Him. It is all found at the cross. Guilt and shame can easily trap the heart and deceive the mind. It could also lead one in the opposite direction than to the throne of grace. The Lord says that we should not be conformed to this world any longer but be transformed by the renewal of our minds. The battle begins in the mind, and it can arouse the flesh and bring back the past. However, the cross of Christ defeats everything that comes against the child of God. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death" (Romans 8:1, 2 KJV). God bless you. Amen

To be a light
"For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth" (Acts 13:47 KJV). There will always be opposition against the believers of Christ. Paul and Barnabas faced opposition from the synagogue leaders, but God, through the Holy Spirit, gave them the boldness to stand. These men were called and Holy Spirit filled and they did as God called them to do. "And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region" (vs. 49). Jesus has made a way for the sinner. He has made a way through this world so that each and everyone of us may receive salvation and eternal life with Him in heaven. Christ, our Lord, left His home in Heaven to bleed and die on a cross for you and I. There's no stopping this true love that God the Father has for all humanity. He has given His very best so that we may have life eternally with Him. God will not take back what He has given to us. What He has given us, has the power to change us, sanctify us, and redeem us. Once we were lost in sin, living a life spiritually dead, but God's gracious love has given us all a chance to come to Him. He has authority over the enemy and wicked spirits of darkness. There is no stopping Jesus Christ, for He is the Living Word, and His Word has brought victory and has triumphed over this world. Jesus is calling the backslider, a hurt nation, a lost people, back to Him this very hour. Arise to the call of God. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and go to the unbeliever, to the brokenhearted, and proclaim the Good News. God bless you. Amen

Two opinions
"And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word" (1 Kings 18:21 KJV). Israel was led by a king who gave himself over to the lust of the flesh. This king was morally lost by ungodliness and blinded by the so called gods of this world. King Ahab was the worst of all the kings of Israel. He was careless, and he did not care about the children of God. He led them into worshiping false idols, man-made gods, which he put all over the city and throughout the land. However, God did not take His eyes off His children. He saw a great need to bring them back to their first love. God will always begin to place things back in order and position His people for the great rain. The prophet Elijah heard the call of God and obeyed His very word. Now after 3 1/2 years without rain, he heard God call him once again to come against the false prophets that were in the land. God was about to demonstrate His power from on high through fire that would consume the sacrifice, the wood, and the water that would be placed upon the altar. Nothing is impossible for God! He is able to move and bring rain to a land and His children. In order for Him to do so, He is looking for men and women that desire His rain. Many people are content and relaxed with the spiritual drought we are in. Many in the church don't see the need for God's rain in the land. However, God found Elijah who was willing to hear and do what God called him to do. "Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit" (James 5:17, 18 KJV). Are you willing to pray also? God bless you. Amen

Get the hence
"And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan" (1 Kings 17:2, 3 KJV). Elijah was the most powerful prophet of God who ever walked on this earth. Not much was said about Elijah, only that he was a man of God and a man of faith. God was able to move through this man because he was willing. Elijah was one that heard the Word of God and did as God commanded him. God was looking for a man who was willing to lay himself aside to see God's children saved and back under the mighty hand of God. God is in the business of saving people, and He will use men and women to go to the captives and proclaim the Good News. However, these men and women must be separated first. God must mold and discipline them, making them ready for the great work. The Lord separated Elijah, and in that separation God provided for him. For quite some time, God had the ravens bring him bread and flesh, both in the mornings and the evenings. God supplied his every need, even in a severe famine and drought. The Lord led him right to the water's edge, to a place of separation. The Lord will never leave his people in lack or in want. God sustained Elijah for 3 1/2 years. The Lord kept this man alive through a faithful widow woman who had nothing else but a handful of meal in a jar and a little oil in a bottle. God provided, and the meal was not spent nor did the bottle of oil fail. They had plenty to eat. God sustained her, her son, and the man of God. The Word of God clearly says that God will not forsake His children, and we, the modern church, must continually believe that by faith. "I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread" (Psalms 37:25 KJV). God wants us to walk by faith in this last hour. It is critical that we do so because the times are only going to get harder. He is able to sustain our household and those that are willing to believe by faith. God bless you. Amen
