While the man slept
Matt 13:24-25. "Another Parable put He forth unto them, saying, The Kingdom of Heaven is likened unto a Man which sowed good seed in the field: But while the man slept, His enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way." We all need some sleep, and it is called for after a hard days work. It feels great the next day when we do get sound sleep. However, too many people over sleep and some will sleep all day if they can. Jesus spoke this parable to His disciples in order to let them know the enemy is waiting to do some sowing himself. He also did this to show them how important it is to discern between the true Christian and an apostate. Also to show how the Church can't afford to be found spiritually asleep by the enemy. The enemy will come in and try to distort and destroy the whole Body. 2 Cor 11:13-14. "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the Apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." The devil is the great pretender. We can recognize him when we are awakened to Jesus, and holding on to the Word of God in our Hearts. Arise with Christ today, give Him Praise.
