Spirit and truth

"God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” (‭John‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ NKJV). Waiting on the Lord must be a desire from within the heart. It comes from the hunger one has to get into the deep presence of God. This person will put all interruptions aside and get alone with the Holy Spirit, calling on the name of Jesus. We, the born again believers, must utilize the gift given to us from our Lord Jesus. It is through the Holy Spirit that we can get closer to God and in the fellowship of His light. We have been given such a beautiful gift, one that has come from Heaven above to live within us, to bring correction to us, and to show us Jesus Christ. It is very important that we, the church, keep the fire of the Holy Spirit burning within us. The Holy Spirit only knows what God the Father gives it. It will not adapt to the things of this world, nor will the Holy Spirit take part in our fleshly desires. It comes from above and it hungers and thirsts for the Living Word of God. The Holy Spirit lives and loves. As much as He loves, He will not partake in any earthly rituals or man made religion, because the Holy Spirit is what brings the church closer to the head of the church, Christ Jesus. His source comes from the throne room of God and that is all that the Holy Spirit needs. That is why we must learn to rely on the Spirit of God and trust in Him every day.
