Walk ye in Him

Colossians 2:6, 7 kjv. "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him: rooted and built up in Him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving". An apple tree is not just an apple tree because of the fruit it bears. It gets deeper than that. Without the roots that came from an apple seed there would be no fruit. The Word of God is a seed that blows into the hearts of the listeners and seekers. If there is good soil, which means if the seed is not taken for granted, it will germinate into a fruitful and prosperous being. In other words, the person will be blessed, and the word of God will begin to take shape in their life. Being rooted and built up in Christ Jesus is the only way we will be able to face the storms of life and get through them. With your heart rooted in the Word of the Lord, nothing will be able to move you from His arms. As time goes by, so shall your faith grow, and bring forth fruit in due season.
