The marks of the Lord Jesus

Galatians 6:17 kjv. "From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus." There are many wounds that are noticeable, and scars that are visible to the eye. However, there are those that are internal, wounds that no one can see or notice. These wounds are the wounds that will make a person stronger or weaker. Paul had many marks upon his body. He had scars on his back from being whipped for testifying about the Word of God. He had scars upon his head and body where the stones had hit him, because he spoke the Truth, the Word of God. These are all external scars and wounds. The ones that are upon the heart are those that hurt the most. These hurts and pains, in the heart, will want to take over who you are. They become your internal scars of bitterness, unforgiveness, rebellion, doubt, and etc. Just like Christ, Paul grew even more intimate with God when times got tough. He probably got depressed, filled with bitterness, or even doubt at times, but he took these problems to the Lord in prayer, because he knew that the feelings and emotions were from the flesh and not from the Spirit of God. Many times the wounds on the inside hurt the most. So, we need a healer that works on the inside. Cry out to God to heal you from the pains of the past or present, and He will be there to heal.
