Giving thanks unto the Father.
"Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins" (Colossians 1:12-14 KJV). Jesus loves the sinner, and He demonstrates this great love each and every day when one is set free from bondage, addictions, and hell. Jesus took the beating, spit from the enemy, stones to the head, and the words from many that said crucify Him. He went to Calvary alone and full of blood, bearing the cross for you and I, so that we may have life and an abundance of it. They pierced His hands, feet, and brow. This was a slave's death. It was a lawbreakers' way of dying in brutal humiliation. Many that surrounded Him as Christ Jesus hung on the cross, laughed and mocked Him saying "if you are who you say you are then save yourself". Yet, through all of this, with the love of God the Father upon His entire heart, He allowed Himself to be that great sacrifice that would redeem all mankind back to God the Father, and He put every principality of darkness under His feet. God the Father has so much love for His creation that He sent His prized possession, His dear Son, to die and take upon Himself the punishment that was due for man. Every chain, every bondage, every wickedness, and every evil was triumphed by the cross of Calvary. Jesus is the Author and Finisher of our faith. We must continue looking to Him in these last hours and putting our whole faith in our Savior. God bless you. Amen
