Ever with me

"And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine" (‭Luke‬ ‭15‬:‭31‬ KJV). There is a story in chapter 15 of the book of Luke that talks about two sons who live with their father, who has a great estate. The interesting thing about it is that neither son has a clue of where they are or what they have. The younger son decided to take all that was inherited to him, go to a far-off city, and live a life of recklessness in the world. He spent every bit that he had. Then, a great famine came to the land, forcing him to work. Sometimes we as believers in Christ have to be careful not to take the blessings of God the Father, which He freely gives to us, for granted. Being young can be very exciting and adventurous. However, one must be careful in what they decide to do in life. We could be raised up in the things of the Lord, but what matters is that the Lord is with us. The older brother was blinded to what he had with his father. He lived in the estate and household of his father and was not a slave nor was he a servant, but he was a son. We too can easily get sidetracked in our walk with Jesus Christ. We could be in the House of God, yet still take for granted and start seeing the ministry as a job and no longer a desire from Christ. Some may get relaxed and miss all God has given them. God bless you. Amen
