O Lord of hosts

What a great promise the Lord has given us, everlasting life in Heaven above. Our job is to believe and obey Him and His Holy Word. Christ has also given us many powerful promises that pertain to this life that we live here on earth. Psalm 84:11-12 kjv. "For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee." The Lord is here to take care of His children. He lets us know we are under His protection, and when we walk with Him, He is there to protect us from all evil. Psalm 91:9-11 amp. "Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague  or  calamity come near your tent.  For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany  and  defend  and  preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service]." God is so Good to us. Even when we didn't deserve His mercy, He still gave it. It is all under the Blood of His Son.  The Blood of Jesus washes away all sin. Col 1:12-14 amp. "Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified  and  made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God’s holy people) in the Light.  [The Father] has delivered  and  drawn us to Himself out of the control  and  the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,  In Whom we have our redemption  through His blood,  [which means] the forgiveness of our sins." Give God thanks today for all His promises and the Blood of His Son Christ Jesus.

Blessed

Matt 5:3-12 kjv. "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." This morning I was looking over some pictures of countries that have read our daily devotion, and it broke my heart to see what so many are going through around this world. The hate for mankind is all over. People are struggling for freedom, not only spiritually but physically. Government has taken the people's rights away. It's so sad to know that children are hurting and hungry, and parents are dying trying protect them. All who walk in Christ shall be Blessed, no matter how bad things are around them. This goes out to all the nations: Look to Jesus who brings true Freedom and  comfort, He who feeds us the Living Word and brings us the Living Waters. I Know it might be hard, but try to Rejoice, for your Reward is in Heaven with our Savior forevermore. I will continue to pray for all of you who are in this world. God Bless You.

Create in me a clean Heart

Psalm 51:10-11. amp"Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and steadfast spirit within me. Cast me not away from Your presence and take not Your Holy Spirit from me." No matter how big or small it may be, Sin makes a heart unclean . Sin will always take us away from The Lord. It is important to understand the Grace of God and the Blood of Christ. The Grace of God is the entrance into God's undeserved favor towards all humanity, those who deserve condemnation. The Blood of Christ is the Atonement for our guilt and sin. David was stuck in his sin, and he knew it would take a cry from deep within himself to get God to listen. He cried,  "Create in me a clean heart."  He knew where the source of sin had come from, and the only way to overcome this condemnation and wickedness was with a new heart washed and cleaned by God. David got even deeper when he asked God to "renew a right, persevering, and steadfast Spirit within me." Sin comes from a root and the root comes from a seed planted within the heart. This root, if not stopped, will spread and go deep, even to your spirit, and infect it. The only way to de-root the infection is by getting into the Presence of God and allowing  the Holy Spirit to Create a new heart and spirit within you.  Draw close to God and He will Draw close to you. Give Him thanks for His Mercy and Grace in your life today and forevermore.

And the Lord said to Satan

Job 1:7-8. amp"And the Lord said to satan, from where did you come? Then satan answered the Lord, from going to and fro on the earth and from walking up and down on it. And the Lord said to satan, have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who [reverently] fears God and abstains from and shuns evil [because it is wrong]?" Job was a man blessed by God throughout his life. He had plenty and was very rich. He was a man that trusted in the Lord with his whole heart. He was blameless,  feared God, and hated sin and unrightousness. Why would God allow satan to destroy all that Job had? We read that satan had to get permission from God. Remember God knew the heart of Job, a man that would not curse or deny God even through the worst of times. Things will happen and have also happened in our lives that hurt deeply, but I have learned never to let go of God in and through the trials. These trials should bring us closer to the Lord, just as Job became closer to God.  Don't Let trials bring you down, but allow them to build you and make you into a person of integrity, with the character of Christ. Walk upright with the fear of God in your heart, blameless, and abstain from evil. For He might look upon you with Faith, saying " have you Consider my servant?" Praise God.

Put on Christ

Col 3:12-14 kjv."Put on therefore, as the Elect of God, Holy and Beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.  And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful." The Lord tells us all to be Clothed in Christ, in His holiness and walking in His Spirit. We are a New Creation in the Lord, re-created after the image of Christ, showing forth the Fruit of the Spirit, because the Spirit of God is in us, God's own chosen ones, His own picked representatives.  We are somebody in the Kingdom of God. We Represent God in our Actions and Faith. We can be one with God and  clothed in Him, Only if we believe and stand in the Truth of Christ . With Christ in our hearts we will Love one another and forgive each other. This brings such a rest to the believer's heart.  So let the Peace of God rule in your hearts. Clothe yourselves therefore, as God's own chosen ones. Give Him Praise.

Fountain of Living Water

Jeremiah 2:13 amp. "For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me the Fountain of living waters, and  they have hewn for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns which cannot hold water."  Many in today's world look to other things to fulfill their personal needs and fix their problems. They look to things such as Money, Modern day Doctrines, Sexual immorality, Alcohol, Drugs, Self-Pride, and so forth. These things only bring bigger problems, and take them further away from the Only True Cure, Christ Jesus. The Lord points out two evils in this verse: One is that His people have forsaken Him, the Fountain of Living Waters. With out water we will grow thirsty and eventually die. This is the same with Christ. We need Him to keep us alive. He is the very Fountain of Living Waters. If we drink from this Fountain we will not thirst anymore, but have Eternal Life with Jesus Christ. Second: Why try to fix problems with sources from this world, when we should be trusting in the Living Word that has the answer to all problems. Things of this world can't hold the truth, because they are man's ways and made by him. Let's get back to the Real Source and the Right Answer, The Fountian of Living Waters. Give God Thanks.

Faith without works

James 2:26. kjv "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so Faith without works is dead also." Faith and works go hand in hand. To have Faith in God there will be proper works that follow. When we Walk in Faith, actions will always follow, and from actions the works of Faith will show. Abraham was Justified by works, when he offered his son upon the Altar. His Faith was powerful along with the Works that followed. Faith is made perfect, when we have Faith in God and Him alone. True Faith will show forth works from the Faith. Just as Abraham was Justified by works so was Rahab the Harlot. She received the messengers, the spies, that went into Jericho, hid them, and sent them the other way. She shows us her Faith along with the proper works by trusting and believing in God.  v:24 amp. "You see that a man is justified (pronounced righteous before God) through what he does and not alone through Faith [through works of obedience as well as by what he believes]." Examine yourself today to see if you are in the Faith. Where Real Faith is, there will be God in the mist of it. Pray to God for greater Faith. The Lord says Ask and you shall Receive.

To be carnally minded is death

Rom 8:6-8. "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be.  So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God." Why miss out on the greatest life? Why walk away from your eternal blessing that comes from God, for some carnal thing? Catering to the appetites and impulse of our carnal nature will only take us further from Christ. The carnal (flesh) cannot please or satisfy God, and He won't accept it at all. All the flesh and carnal mind brings is death and misery, but to be Spiritual minded is to have freedom in life and to walk in peace with Christ. Don't give into the ways of the flesh, but give into the ways of the Holy Spirit. "For they who are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they who are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit." Those who are controlled by the flesh will do as the flesh wants, and those controlled by the Spirit will do as the Spirit. Those of the Spirit set their minds to gratify the things that gratify the Spirit. So seek the Lord in Spirit and in truth. John 4:24: "God is Spirit: they who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth." Worship Him today and don't give ground to the flesh.

Humble yourselves

Remember when you have fallen to get up and run to the Lord. When you are over come by temptation, run to the Lord. When guilt has control over you, run to the Lord. When life gets to hard, run to the Lord. We have to learn to bring all things to the Lord. He will take care of you. The Lord wants us to find rest and have peace in this world, and not to be run down by heaviness in our hearts. 1 Peter 5:6-7 "Humble yourselves therefore under the Mighty Hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time: Casting all your cares upon Him; for He cares for you."  It takes humility to get the Lord's attention, and our willingness to be placed under His Mighty Hand. Cast all your cares on to Him, for He is willing to take them from you. Pride will keep many from being set free from their cares, and will not allow the burdens in their hearts to be released. This will soon bring a spiritual suffocation. This person will die spiritually, and grow hard to the Word of God. Don't Give Up, but give in to Jesus. Run to Him, and Cast all your cares upon Him. He Loves you very much. Pray with all humility.

God is our refuge and strength

Psalm 46:1-3.kjv "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;  Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. v:7  "The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah". In a tragedy near home in Aurora, Colorado 12 people were killed and 59 injured, because some young man went on a shooting rampage in a theater. We need to pray for the families that lost their loved ones and those that are in the hospital today. How fast life can change, and in a matter of moments eternity can be seen. We must stand up for Christ every day of our lives, because we don't know when our lives may see eternity. Look around you, how many times does the devil get all the attention? This is not only in this country but around the world. Let's make a sound of prayer for this country and this world. The Lord is our Creator, Refuge, Strong Tower, and Deliverer. When does His Body, the Church, get the attention of this world? When does God's Glory get seen and heard about? We need the Holy Spirit to wake the Church up. Please Keep these families and everyone around you in prayer.

They who sow in tears

Psalms 126:5-6 "They who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who goes forth and weeps, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." Crying out to the Lord always brings victory and joy. It is a powerful thing when we can weep before the Lord with a humble heart, and be willing to let the Blood of Jesus clear and cleanse us from all sin. This weeping will bring in a harvest, because the precious seed of Christ is being sown. Along with a harvest comes rejoicing bringing in the sheaves. This shows the fruit of his or her labors. When one begins to sow in tears with the Word of God, there is no doubt that this one will yield a fruit. It is the tears that soften and break the seed open to reveal and release the inner fruit. However, the seed needs time to grow, and with plenty of patience and weeping it will surely grow. Thank God for tears and His ears that Hear our cry. Give Him Praise today for the harvest that He will bring in.

A Living Sacrifice

Rom 12:1-2. "I beseech you therefore, Brethren, by the Mercies of God, that you present your bodies a Living Sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, Will of God."  Paul says something here that is so powerful, and we as believers must hold fast to this Word, "I beseech (beg) you therefore, Brethren". Paul is reaching out to the readers with a heart that is desperate, and Filled with God's Spirit. He is Begging that we present our bodies a Living Sacricifice, Holy, and acceptable unto God. We must take this serious, because it is the Lord saying this to you and I, with His Whole Heart. When He died on the cross, He was also desperate to see you and I free from the sin of this world. It takes Christ in our hearts to became a Living Sacrifice.  Through Him we are acceptable unto God. So be transformed in your  Mind, by putting away the worldly ways of thinking, with its superficial customs.  Start thinking as the Lord thinks, and doing what the Word of God says. In doing this you will find what is good, acceptable, and perfect in His sight for you. Run to God today with a Praise of Sacrifice.

Then Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit

Matt 4:1. Amp "Then Jesus was led (guided) by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness (desert) to be tempted (tested and tried) by the devil."   Jesus came to the River Jordan and was baptized.  Immediately, when He came out of the water the Heavens were opened and the Spirit of God descended upon Him like a dove. "And a voice from Heaven said, This is My Son, My Beloved, in Whom I delight." Jesus was lead by the Holy Spirit to be tempted in the wilderness. Think about how much more are we in need of the Holy Spirit. It is through the Holy Spirit and the Word of God that one is able to over come the tests and trials in the wilderness. Jesus shows us how the devil came against Him with temptations, but He also shows us How He got victory over the flesh and the enemy. Jesus starved the flesh from getting any victory over Him, and fed the Holy Spirit by doing so. When we choose to follow Jesus and walk in the Spirit of God, the enemy will come in on all sides to tempt and test us, just as he did Jesus. Jesus over came the devil by using the Word of God. The Word is our Sword, and it is the best weapon in the arsenal of God. However,  it is only affective when we walk in the Holy Spirit.  We are only able to have victory over the devil when we  live in the Holy Spirit, because the devil and his demons are spirits.  Thank God for the Fire of The Holy Spirit.

That at the Name of Jesus

Phil 2:10-11. "That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in Heaven, and things in Earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father." All creation will bow a knee and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, from the greatest to the least. He is the Lord of all the Earth and Heaven. All will proclaim Him as Lord, even those who don't believe and choose to walk in darkness, will see Him as Lord. All creation will bow down to Him. The devil will try to make many think that He is not what He says He is. However, we all know that the devil is a liar, a thief, and is only out there to kill all humanity. Let us get a head start and begin to worship Him as Lord in our lives, and as a King that is Worthy of Praise. For when the day does come, we will already have Him in our hearts as our Savior. Humble yourself under His Hand and give Him all the Glory, for He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Confess Christ in your heart as your Lord. Give Him Praise.

Redemption through His Blood

Col 1:14-15. "In whom we have Redemption through  His Blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the Image of the invisible God, the Firstborn of every creature."  Jesus Christ made it possible for you and I to stay free. It all starts at Calvary where His Blood flows for you and me. Jesus paid the price for Salvation. At the Cross, the Lord broke every power of sin, and took the guilt on Himself. Only by the Blood can one be made whole again, free from within. Only by the Blood are we washed as white as snow. His Blood still sets the hardest of sinners free from addiction and from the perversions of the heart. God's Grace is freely given to all humanity by faith in Christ. Eph 2:8. "For by Grace are you Saved through Faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the Gift of God."  We are not saved by what we do, but by who we believe in.This Gift of Grace comes from God.  It has reached all the world, and none are exempt from it. We were once all far from Christ, but by His Blood we were made near. God reconciled, not a nation, but a world to Himself. He did this by having Power over all principalities and power. Satan has no more right over the sinner, because Christ triumphed over him at Calvary. Give God thanks for The Blood Of Jesus Christ.

I press toward the mark

Phil 3:14. "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." The Apostle Paul is living in the Spirit of God. He isn't looking at anything but the Prize of the high calling of God.  He can only reach such a Prize through Christ Jesus. Being in Christ is our way also to receive the high calling of God. Jesus has paved the way for all to get there. We must trust in Him and not in ourselves. Paul looks at all things as lost to win Christ in his life. He put nothing in the way between him and Christ, all was counted loss. Every thing of his past life was put behind him, because he knew the past would only hinder his walk with Jesus. There must be a target in our walk with the Lord, goals to reach, and a plan to reach them. Many come to Jesus and find out quickly the Path is hard to follow. Too many times new believers look back at the past, live in the past, yet only to get caught up in the old life style once again. God has given us a new life and a blessed life in Jesus Christ. Let's press on towards the mark, and not towards the past. Reach for Christ Jesus, and He will help you reach the high calling in God, a Prize that will last for eternity. Give God Praise.

Enter into His gates

Psalms 100:4. "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His Name."  We enter into prayer with thanksgiving and a willing heart. When we begin to make a joyful noise unto the Lord, He will hear us.  When was the last time you gave thanks to the Lord? Think about how much He has done for you and I.  Then enter His gates. I thank you Lord for your Love and Grace that is always near. I thank you God for never giving up on me even when I ignored you many times. You Have always been there in my darkest hours. I thank You for pulling me out of the traps the evil one put in my path. Nothing can stop you Lord. You are all Powerful and Mighty. You are always willing to show and give everyone Your Great Love. Thank you God. You have been my best friend. Someone I can talk to and tell everything to. No one can replace you in my heart. This is your home and place of rest. You are my Strong Tower and Refuge in this world. I really  need You in these last days. Many may come against me, but You make a way for me to escape; and I run under Your Wings. Thank You God for saving me from hell on earth. I Praise You Lord.

Gods discipline

Heb 12:7. "You must submit to and endure (correction) for discipline; God is dealing with you as with sons. For what son is there whom his father does not (thus) train and correct and discipline?"  When discipline comes from the Lord, He guarantees the fact that we are Children of God. This chastening is to build up a child in the ways  of God's Holy Living, and so he or she will always hold onto it and never forget. The Lord will discipline those whom He Loves and belong to Him. Sometimes it hurts and disappoints, because no discipline brings joy. But it is training for Righteousness, to bring forth a harvest of fruit. We are to stand in the hard times, and not be moved by the troubles that come. God's correction will bring a conformity to His will, and a drive to reach His standards. Discipline will bring nothing less than right living for God. Discipline will make you or break you. How will you respond to God's discipline? We can accept it and give up. We can accept it with self-pity, saying " I don't deserve this."  We can get angry with God about it, or we can accept it with an open heart to the Lord and thank Him for looking on us as His child. Remember He Disciplines those whom He Loves. Praise God.

Looking for Christ's return

2 Peter 3:14. " Wherefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of Him in Peace, without spot, and blameless." Laziness or Idleness will keep one from looking for Christ's return. We should not become lazy and complacent because Christ has not yet returned. We should be on fire in the Holy Spirit, and telling others about His Great Return. We as the Body should be living in eager expectation of His coming, Being found in Him. What a Powerful day it will be to see Him return, and  find His Bride waiting and looking for Him. We must be ready! He will only come once for His Church. Life styles must change, ways we think must change, and secret things must come to the light.  He will come back looking for them that have peace with Him. Those who are without spot and blameless. It sounds impossible to live that way, and it is. The only way we can have Eternal life and be received By Him is through Faith, Believing, Trusting, and Relying on the Lord Jesus Christ and His Blood. Don't go through the routine of serving Christ, but get out of the comfort zone. Look for His coming and expect it. Give God the Father Praise today.

While the man slept

Matt 13:24-25. "Another Parable put He forth unto them, saying, The Kingdom of Heaven is likened unto a Man which sowed good seed in the field: But while the man slept, His enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way." We all need some sleep, and it is called for after a hard days work. It feels great the next day when we do get sound sleep. However, too many people over sleep and some will sleep all day if they can. Jesus spoke this parable to His disciples in order to let them know the enemy is waiting to do some sowing himself. He also did this to show them how important it is to discern between the true Christian and an apostate.   Also to show how the Church can't afford to be found spiritually asleep by the enemy. The enemy will come in and try to distort and destroy the whole Body. 2 Cor 11:13-14. "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the Apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."  The devil is the great pretender. We can recognize him when we are awakened to Jesus, and holding on to the Word of God in our Hearts. Arise with Christ today, give Him Praise.

For the Wrath of God

Romans 1:18. "For the Wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness." The Lord Jesus Christ is the Truth and the only Truth. Men have replaced our Lord, the One True God, with other gods, in order to meet their own selfish desires. Many of these men knew the Word of Truth, but eventually they gave in to seducing spirits and fell away from the faith. Their minds and hearts have become filled with wicked imaginations and darkness. They exchanged the Truth of God for lusts and self gains. Look around, can you recognize the danger that many of this world will face and are facing today because of their beliefs? God doesn't take lightly the men who hold the truth in unrighteousness. Apostasy is "Rejection of Christ by one who has been a christian; a willful falling away from, or rebellion against Christ."  If they don't Repent God's Wrath will be revealed from Heaven against them. There's no hiding from the Wrath of God. We as believers must Shine in and with the Light of Christ, so we can show the Lost and the Broken the Love of God. It isn't too late. Get ahold of Jesus and don't let Him go. Praise God.

Joel 2:12 Keep on coming to Me

Joel. 2:12. Amp "Therefore also now, says the Lord, turn and keep on coming to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning (until every hindrance is removed and the broken fellowship is restored."  So many bad things are happening in the world today, and it isn't getting better. People are overdosing, children are starving, and prisons are filled up. So many are in bondage, and can't break free. We need to turn all the way to the Lord. There's no time to think about or ignore what is going on in this world. God is saying to the people in this verse to Repent, turn from your old ways,  stop going the wrong way, and turn to Me with all your heart. We as Christians may not be able to change the whole world, but we sure can reach those around us for Christ. The only way we can be effective in this world is by turning, trusting, and relying all the way on Jesus. v:13. "Rend your hearts and not your garments and return to the Lord, your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in loving-kindness; and revokes His sentence of evil (when His conditions are met)." There is a need to be met out there in the world.  The Lord promises us when we meet His conditions with fasting, weeping, mourning, and the rendering of all of our heart, He will revoke His sentence. What do we have to lose? Give the Lord Praise today.

I will set no wicked thing before my eyes

Psalms. 101:3. "I will set no wicked thing before my eyes: I hate the work of them who turn aside; it shall not cleave to me."  There are many things in this world that can easily take our eyes off the Lord. We will find ourselves lost when we allow the world to take  our eyes off of God . It usually starts with selfishness. Selfishness is going after our own wants and desires. It isn't bad to have wants and desires, but they need to come from the Lord. Luke. 11:34. "The light of the body is the eye: therefore when your eye is single, your whole body also is full of light; but when your eye is evil, your body also is full of darkness."  We as believers must have only One thing in our sight, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Light.  David said "I hate the work of them who turn aside; it shall not cleave to me." Many turn aside from the only True path, and find themselves chasing after Lusts and Temptations. It may look good and feel good, but it will come to an end. That wide path is full of lies, hate, disappointments, and hurts.  Many don't make it back to the Lord. Don't let it cleave to you, but keep your eyes on Jesus and be made whole in Him. Pray to God for the Strength to keep your eyes only on Him.

O God, You are my God

Psalms 63:1. "O God,You are my God; early will I seek You: my soul thirsts for You, my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is."  In this Psalms David is in the wilderness of Judah, fleeing from Saul, and he has found no rest except for in the Lord. Saul was out to kill him, just as the devil is out to kill you and I in this world. David put his heart to seek the Lord early, instead of running from God in times of trouble and looking for the answer in the world.  He was in a spiritual drought. His soul was thristy for the living water. That Living Water can only come from God's Throne. Not only did his soul thrist,  but his flesh was weak, faint, and exhausted. The Lord is the only true strength in times of need. Just like David, many times we too will feel so far from God, and only long to see His Power and Glory again. This isn't a time to run from God, but to seek Him in Spirit and in Truth. Does your heart thirst for God? I believe many people do thirst, and the only way to be filled is to seek His Face. David knew the help would come from the Lord when he would begin to praise Him. v:7."Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings will I rejoice." The Holy Spirit is here to help. So, allow Him to help you. Rejoice in your Help and praise the LORD.

Sanctify the House of God

2 Chro. 29:3-5. " He in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the House of the Lord, and repaired them. And he brought in the Priests and the Levites, and gathered them together into the east street, and said unto them, 'Hear me, ye Levites, sanctify now yourselves, and sanctify the House of the Lord God of your fathers, and carry forth the filthiness out of the holy place." Hezekiah did that which was right in the sight of the Lord. He did not follow after his father's foot steps, but after the Lord's. He immediately repaired and opened the doors to the House of God, which his father had closed. He didn't waste any time. He knew within himself that the only way a person could receive freedom was through God. He had the Priests and Levites sanctify themselves and the House of God. Then he had them get rid of everything that was ungodly and did not belong in the House of God. Today we are cleansed by the Blood of Jesus from all our sins. Christ gives us the Holy Spirit to live in us, and we become a temple for the Spirit of God to dwell in. In order for this to happen we must Repent of our sins, and allow the Holy Spirit to get rid of the filthiness inside of us. We can get rid of the external, but only the Holy Spirit can get rid of the internal. Don't waste anymore time. Allow the Lord to help repair the House of God in you. Give God Praise today.

And the Word was made flesh

John 1:14."And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His Glory, the Glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father,) full of Grace and Truth." How beautiful it is that God would send His only-begotten Son  to dwell among us. He saw the need of a Perfect Sacrifice, because the blood of bulls and of goats can't cleanse the inner man.  Many people made it a ritual to sacrifice, just as many in church today. Blood from an animal sacrifice cannot cleanse them from their sin. Just like back then, many sin today and come to the altar, only to find themselves back in their previous condition. There was no purging of dead works. It only touched the outer-man and not the inner-man. Heb. 10:4."For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins."   So the Word was made flesh, to present Himself as a Blood Sacrifice by putting all sin upon Himself. He did this to show the world His Grace and Truth, and the Glory of The Father. The Word is the Truth, and the Word is Christ. Open the Word of God, and Get to know our Saviour in a greater way. Thank God for His Sacrifice today.

The young lions do lack

Psalms 34:10. "The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing." So many suffer hunger and lack in what they need because they don't inquire of the Lord. When you seek the Lord diligently and obey His Word He will give you the desires of you heart. A lion cub reaches maturity between two and three years of age. This is when young males leave the pride they were born into and their mothers. Then they have to use all the skills the lions and lionesses taught them. They need to eat, so they try to hunt for food, and unfortunately most of the time they go hungry. We also are no different then the lions. We are being taught how to seek the Word of God and pray at a young age. However, there to will come a time when we are not in the pride and are on our own. There will come a time when no one is around to push us or tell us to read the Bible and pray to God. Then we have to make up our minds if we're going to suffer and lack, or get into the Word of the Lord and lack nothing.  That is a powerful promise God has given His children, and it's only if we seek Him. Pray to God like you have never prayed before, open your Bible, and begin to feast on the Living Word.

Awaken thou who sleeps

Eph. 5:14 "Wherefore He said, Awaken thou who sleeps , and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light."  We need to run to the Holy Spirit and begin to let Him do what He was sent to do. The Lord says, "Awaken" from your sleep, you who are spiritually dead. Look around you, the world is asleep and many in the church house also. There must be a move of the Holy Spirit. We cannot afford to sit back and watch the enemy tear up our nations with his darkness anymore. Times are dark and evil, and the only way the Light of Christ will shine is through the Holy Spirit. We, the Believers, must allow the Spirit of God to move through us. He needs vessels to move through in this evil hour. This has to happen if  we want to see our loved ones saved and the world on Fire with Revival. v.18 amp. "And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but even be filled and stimulated with the Holy Spirit." This verse gives us the answer to over come the problems that the world faces today.  However, so many in the church are seduced and corrupted by lust, alcohol, and drugs.  We must be filled and stimulated by the Holy Spirit and not the things of this world. Watch the Lord move across the land. Give Him Praise.

For the Word of God is quick

Heb. 4:12 "For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." The final authority is the Word  of God. The Word will never pass away. It is sure and stands forever. Many will try to imitate it or make a profit from it, only to find out it is the discerner of the heart. The Word is Powerful and alive when you get into it. It is active and energizing when your heart lives for it. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, and is  willing to come into close combat with the darkness within the heart and mind. The Word of God goes deep, and you can't stop it from entering in. It separates and cleanses the thoughts of the heart, and the intent behind the thought. There is no other word that can speak and bring correction to the heart of man, other than the True  Word of God. Jer.23:29 " Is not My Word like as a fire? Saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?" The Word of the Lord burns and breaks the heart of man, only to bring forth the truth and to reveal the falseness. Its all powerful and nothing can stop it from reaching you. Get into the Word of God today, and be transformed. Give God Praise.

For whatever is born of God

1 John 5:4. amp. "For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith." We have victory over this world and all the temptations that come our way, but only if we obey God's Word and follow Him. This victory comes with a price of self surrenderance to the Lord of Lords. There is no other way to over come this world.  He who believes in Jesus Christ and trusts in Him will have a victorious walk through this world. This doesn't mean we won't have to fight and pray anymore, but even a greater fight will come because the enemy see's you as a born-again child of God. Don't think he's not mad, he sure is, and will try his best to defeat you. Remember you are a child of God, and through Christ we have the victory that conquers the world. So move in your faith and stand in Jesus. Walk today as a Born-Again child of God. Praise the Lord.

A happy heart

Proverbs 17:22. "A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones." Sometimes problems arise in our lives, and they either bring hurt or frustration. It's funny, you can go hang out with a friend that might be angry or sad,  and they will tell you all about their problem. Not too long after you might find yourself either complaining or murmuring as they are. As believers we can change the situation, and bring  them something greater. Something that will heal and bring closure to their heart. Jesus is the medicine, the Remedy. He is the Healer of the broken heart. He will replace the burden with Joy, Peace, and Rest. He is in the business of restoration of souls. Whatever is broken and dried up in our lives, Jesus can speak life back into any problem. Let's us walk today with a cheerful heart and mind so we can bring healing to those who are in need. Give God Praise.
