I Am Not Ashamed

Romans 1:16, 17 kjv. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith". By faith in Christ Jesus, we come out of the prayer closet with boldness and without being ashamed of the Good News, the Gospel of Christ. Having boldness and being unashamed of the Gospel only comes when one has been in prayer, in a place where it is just God and them and in a place when God can move freely upon their soul without any disturbance. It is in this secret place that God can pour out His Heart's desires into that being. Such a time alone with God is so beautiful. After that person meets with God and He with them, the faith of God is even greater in the heart of that one then ever before. The power of God has touched the soul, and there has been communion between God and His creation. So, how can one be ashamed of a Great, Powerful, and Loving God who gives salvation freely to all humanity when they believe? The just and upright shall live, and live by faith. Find time for communion with The Lord our God today, and surrender with confidence. He will show you His Heart. Give God Praise

When They Prayed

Acts 4:31 kjv. "And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness". The first church knew what to do when times got hard, pray. The first church felt and saw the threats of the enemy all around them. They made up their minds, or rather the Holy Spirit moved inside of them with a passion, to cry out to the Lord. Threats and persecutions have bombarded the church all around the world, and it has gotten more intense. It is not only in the church, but all over the world. Right now there is a spiritual war going on in the Middle East, and it has never stopped. Nation is rising against nation. Brothers, sisters, children, and families in the middle of these wars are getting hurt, and are dying daily. We as the Body of Christ need to cry out for those who are caught in the center of all this madness. We must take a stand in Jesus Christ, for the enemy does not want to hear us pray, or anyone to speak the name of Jesus. When the early church prayed, the whole place was shaken, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit again. They continued to speak the Word of God with freedom, boldness, and courage. We need to Pray before it is too late. We can't give up. Give God Praise.

The carnal mind

Romans 8:7-9 kjv.  "Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his". There has been so much controversy about the Holy Spirit among many in the church house. Some say it is something of the past and not meant for today.  Some don't believe that we, as true believers, can receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Many who have a hard time believing will miss out on one of the greatest blessings God the Father gives to the born-again child, and that blessing is the Holy Spirit. The carnal mind is hostile towards God, and in all reality it cannot be subject to the law of God, because the carnal mind has its own thoughts and purposes.  A person living in the flesh will cater to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature, and cannot please God. However, if you are living a life of the Holy Spirit and God's Spirit dwells in you, directs, and controls you; then you are a child of God. You belong to Him, but if one does not possess the Holy Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. Ask God for the Holy Spirit, and allow God to bless your life. The church today needs to be moved by the Spirit of God, and we as believers must move with Him also.  Give the Lord Praise.

I can do all things

Philippians 4:13 kjv. "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."  The Apostle Paul learned about "Christ's sufficiency". This sufficiency was the strength the Lord would provide not only for him, but for all who learned to lean on Christ with their whole soul. He was a man who learned to be content in whatever state he was in, whether it was in suffering, in hunger, or when he was put into prison. He learned the secret of facing every situation. Paul was a man that spent time with the Lord on a daily basis. He had a relationship with Christ that could not be broken by any problem or demon power. He stood on the Word of God with faith, and his faith became the faith that God was able to move through. Paul was not relying on his own power or strength, but on Christ's. With the strength of Christ in his life, he was able to withstand all storms, doubts, and all the powers of Hell. Nothing was going to move this man but the Spirit of God. He walked in the Holy Spirit, and it was the Holy Spirit that kept him going forward in his love for Christ. There might be a situation in your life today that looks enormous or a problem that might have you feeling down. Pray that God will infuse you with inner strength in Christ's sufficiency. Remember we can do all things through Christ.  God Bless you

He shall not die

Ezekiel 18:21 amp. "But if the wicked man turns from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all My statutes and does that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die". There is hope for all humanity. There is hope for the most wicked people on the face of the earth. The hard part is standing against self and its desires. The battle begins right in one's own heart. Surrendering isn't so hard, but when we have to surrender the whole heart, then it becomes difficult. When one does repent and confess Christ Jesus upon their heart, new life begins. All sins are blotted out upon one's repentance, and their belief in what Jesus did at the Cross, two thousand years ago. The same Jesus that rose from the grave, is the same Jesus that saves the most wicked sinners. So let us not give up on those that surround our lives, but we should pray and ask God to deal with them and save them from the corruption of the world. There is hope for all to come into the Kingdom of God. Thank God for His Loving- Mercies that endure forever.

Be not envious

Proverbs 24:1, 2 amp. "BE NOT envious of evil men, nor desire to be with them;  For their minds plot oppression  and  devise violence, and their lips talk of causing trouble  and vexation." Many are aroused by the material things of this world, and not only by the material things, but by the lives of others. I have seen people, who are talented, use their gifts for selfishness, and so many of our young people become envious of those people and their gifts. Many of these stars have big homes and nice cars. Money is their god. Kids here in America look up to the drug dealer and the gangsters as their heroes. Kids today, run around acting like their idols, and soon follow their ways. We live in an envious time where everyone wants what their neighbor has. They will put eternal life with Jesus on hold to get what looks good in the world. There are also evil men in this world that the devil will use and has used, to make a show to the world. They are getting young and old people alike trapped into thinking that there is a life greater than the life with Christ.  We need heroes in the Church, men and women filled with the Holy Spirit, who are examples for the children and the world. We desperately need to pray for our homes, our families, the cities, and the countries we live in. Pray that God will enlighten the hearts of this world with His Light. We have to stand  in Jesus Christ, One Body together, and fast and pray.  It isn't getting any better out there. Just something to think about. Give Christ Praise today.

As for man

Psalm 103:15-18 kjv. "As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children's children; To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them". Life has gone by so quick, and there is no way to slow it down. There are people who will even go through surgery to look young again. They will spend a whole lot of money and time to look ten years younger, but it will all fade away, pass on, and be gone. The Lord's mercy and loving-kindness lasts forever for those who fear Him. These mercies will be passed on from generation to generation and never stop. His Righteousness will be upon their children's children. Life is too short, and the next generation needs God's Mercy and Loving-Kindness. So let us be the example that reverently and worshipfully fears God, not only for ourselves, but for the children of this world. Thank God for His Love upon us all. Give Him praise.

None render evil for evil

1 Thessalonians 5:15-19 kjv. "See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.  Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit". There is so much violence in the world today, and it includes killing and murder. This violence has become a common thing to hear about on the news. People are killing others over temporal things. It seems like people have become angry and stirred up by so much evil, that it brings out such a hate for one another. It looks like Satan is doing his job, and working over time also. We as believers, need to trust in God much more in these last days, and continue to follow Him, who is good. We need to live our lives with Christ shining through our speech and walk. This is what a world of darkness needs to see and hear about. This comes when one walks in the Holy Spirit, and not in the flesh. The flesh only gives access for the devil to have his way, but as one walks in the Spirit, it gives the Lord total control of that very heart and mind. Let us seek the Face of God, and Pray without ceasing. This world needs more Spirit filled believers, and not spirit quenchers. God Bless you. Give God Praise.

The tree was good for food

Genesis 3:6 kjv. "And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." First of all I just want to say, thank God for His loving-kindness and His mercies that endure forever. How many times do we go against God's will and break His commands in our own lives? Yet, He still shows and gives us His Love. Eve fell into deception because of temptation, and Adam followed with unbelief. People will fall when their hearts are set on self.  When the woman saw how good the tree looked for food, the lust of the eyes were opened. Then this lust became pleasant to the eyes. She could not look away because the window of her soul was opened up, and gave way to the lust of the flesh. There was no stopping her now, for the pride of life took over. This fruit became a desire for the soul, for it "will make one wise". So she ate the fruit, and gave some to her husband, Adam. How quickly life can change, from walking with the Lord, to hiding from Him in order not to be seen. I thank God for the Blood that Jesus shed at Calvary for you and I. God knew that each one of us would not be perfect, so He gave up His Son, the Ultimate Sacrifice.  "Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant  and  cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon  and  devour." 1 Peter 5:8 amp.  Praise the Lord, and God Bless you.

They that tempt God

Malachi 3:13-15 kjv. "Your words have been stout against me, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee? Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the Lord of hosts? And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered." So many people speak against the Lord today, just as they did in Malachi's time. There is so much unbelief in this world that we live in. Many come to the Lord and don't count the cost of what it takes to serve God, self-surrender, a total denial of self. As a result, the minute they take their eyes off of Jesus and the Cross they end up back in the world. There is so much pretending in the House of God today. People are pretending to be obedient and faithful, yet they are only wishing to have what the world has. Soon they find themselves going back to the world, and speaking against the One and Only True God. This God is the God that breaks the darkness that has many in bondage, and the God that sent His only begotten Son to save all humanity from sin and the wickedness that follows. So gird up your loins and fight the good fight of faith with the Body of Christ, and do not let the world or the lust of the world trap you today. We are God's ambassadors, one who is empowered to deliver a message of God's Glory and the Good News to all the world. God Bless you all. I just want to let all of you know, everyone who takes the time to read Living Waters, that we are praying for you, your families, and your country. You have been a blessing to me. Thank you.

Fear thou not

Isaiah 41:10 kjv. "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Let us all stand in the strength of the Lord. When we walk in Jesus Christ, there is no fear of death. All that surrounds the believer is the Love that God pours upon those who Love Him. The enemy can try to get you and I, but he cannot grab hold of us because the Lord is our refuge and our fortress. God the Father surrounds us with His power. We are called to trust in The Living God, to cling and rely on Him and Him only. In these last days many will come and try to seduce the church, the believer, with doctrines inspired by demon spirits. Through these doctrines of demons, many will be pulled away from the faith, and many will depart from the faith, only to find out that it was all a lie. We as the Body of Christ need to stand, sound the trumpet, and begin to warn the people. We need to let them know Christ's return is near. This is the time that God really needs an Army of men and women. An army getting ready for the harvest to come in, and preparing for the battle to that will follow. God says "Fear not, I will help you". Give God Praise.

Devouring fire

Deuteronomy 9:3 amp. "Know therefore this day that the Lord your God is He Who goes over before you as a devouring fire. He will destroy them and bring them down before you; so you shall dispossess them and make them perish quickly, as the Lord has promised you." To receive something, we either have to ask or work for it. There are blessings that come from the Lord, and we receive them because of His Word, His Promises, not because of what we have done, least we boast in ourselves. The Israelite people were afraid to go in and receive the Promise Land the Lord God had given to them. There were giants, mighty men of great stature, and fortified cities, with strong walls, that inhabited the children of Anak, the giants. Today we face many giants, such as depression, anger, loneliness, guilt, doubt, pride, sickness, unforgiveness, fear, the past, and the list goes on. Are you done living with Giants that defeat you? Let's stop complaining, and stand up against the giants. We serve a God that is a Giant over the giants. Trust in the Lord, and He will go before you with a devouring fire that will destroy every giant.  All you have to do is dispossess of them quickly, let them go, and get them out of your way. Believe and it will come to pass. Seek the Lord and ask for guidance and help, for fear is not of God. Give Him Praise.

Ask, and it shall be given you.

Matthew 7:7, 8 kjv. "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Communication is very important in a relationship. How can two people understand the each other without communication? Along with communication comes asking. This may include, asking what they may like or dislike. Maybe you need something they have, and all you have to do is ask. If we don't ask, how can we expect to receive? Jesus made it clear that we need to open up our mouths and begin to ask for what we need. If the answer does not come forth, then we are to seek the reason why we did not receive what we asked for.  We also have to learn how to seek for the will of God in our lives. It is not enough to just ask. How desperate do we really want the answer? Ask Christ to show you the direction to the Door of Life. Before you knock, make sure it is the right door. God is so willing to give us all that we need. He will provide the water and the bread to sustain us, but do you want more? Ask according to His will and you shall be given what you ask for. Praise God.

If we confess our sins

1 John 1:9 kjv. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." There's going to come a time when failure fills the heart of every believer, and shame takes over the heart and mind. Along with the victories also come losses. When the old nature awakes from sleep, times will come when temptation floods in and bombards the mind. These failures are not to keep us down and out or for the devil to have his way, but to check our conscience and to get us closer to God, not further. In addition, the Lord will show us what our weakness is and how we can overcome those weaknesses. Don't take it for granted that Christ will forgive us each time we fall into sin. He will forgive, but we must learn from Him how to have victory over the sin. Ask, Seek, and Knock, for Christ to show you how to recognize the shadow of that one sin that creeps in time after time. He will show you how to get it out of your way. Let's all check our hearts today. Is there anything there that does not please God? Find time to go to Him and Repent. "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." 1 John 1:7.  Give God Thanks for His Unfailing Love for All Humanity.

For through Him

Ephesians 2:18-20 kjv. "For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone." Everything that Jesus Christ did at the Cross brought the walls down that kept us all separated from the Living God, and by the blood of Jesus Christ all humanity can be brought near to God our Father. This is powerful because it is not only by the Blood but also by the Holy Spirit, that we all have this wonderful access to the Throne of God. Jesus Christ has become our bond of unity and harmony, for all humanity is one in Him. He brought peace to all mankind. No one is greater than anyone else. We are all equal. Look at yourself today. You are a citizen of the Kingdom of God, in citizenship with the saints, God's own people. You have been bought with the blood that poured out of the body of Jesus Christ. Nothing is impossible with the Holy Spirit in our lives. We have a one way ticket (V.I.P.) to approach God. Thank God for His Love and Mercies. Allow the Holy Spirit into your heart forevermore. Give Him Praise.

He that walketh in his uprightness

Proverbs 14:2 kjv. "He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the Lord: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth Him." When we walk through this life with the Lord our God upon our hearts, there will be no selfishness, but a hope to see all come to the Glory of the Lord our God. The fear of the Lord goes deep and becomes personal, a reality and a conviction in our souls to seek the Lord and walk uprightly after Him. A love to worship Him and to praise His mighty name comes out of the believer who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord. When we fear the Lord, an understanding and knowledge begins to be poured from the Father upon the upright. In addition, an insight of the Love the Father has for us all, comes to those who incline their ears, hearts, and whole minds to His Righteousness. However, the perverse will chase after their own selfish wants, and despise the Father's ways. They will go astray, longing for everything that will possibly make them happy, only to find out it comes with a price. They are souls also. Many will look and find what they longed for, and at the end the emptiness is still there. Walk upright with God today.  Give God Praise.

Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost

1 Corinthians 6:19, 20 kjv "What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." There is so much perversion that surrounds many countries today. There is everything, from pornography to music, that speaks of killing and sex. So many of the youth around this world are watching and listening to this perversion. Their hearts are being filled up by what the devil places out there. Not only are the young led away by this perversion, but many adults have their eyes and ears set on this darkness also. It's flooding humanity, and has been for a long time. There is really nothing we can do about it, but pray, hope, and tell those around us about the dangers of these perverse spirits. We must let them know that there is a way out of such darkness and confusion. It is only through what Jesus did at the Cross and having faith in what He did, that they will be free. We all belong to the Lord. We have been bought and paid for at the Cross of Calvary. This body is not ours but God's, and for the sole use of the Holy Spirit. We as believers need to be the example to the world. We must go all the way with Jesus. Give Him Praise today for courage and strength. God Bless You.

The foolishness of God

1 Corinthians 1:25-27 kjv. "Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:  But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;"  God is in control of everything, other than man's own will. He will bring the wisest of men to awe when they get a taste of His knowledge. Even the weakness of God is stronger then the strongest man. God looks for the weak things of the world, man, to demonstrate His power and love through, and to bring forth His wisdom and strength. It doesn't matter how poor or weak men are; if they are humble they can be a vessel for God. When there is humility, pride is no longer present. All who have been rejected by the world, even by family, do not need to worry; God still loves them and can move through them. He wants us at the place in our walk where we boast only in Him and Him through us. He wants us where we totally trust and depend on His Word and the Holy Spirit. It takes a humble person to receive such a life, a person who is in love with the Lord and obedient to His will. Let us boast, rejoice, and glory in the Lord our sweet Savior. When I am weak, He is strong. Praise Him in your weakness.

The Spirit itself

Romans 8:26, 27 kjv. "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God." We all know that God the Father sent the Holy Spirit down to the earth to help us in our time of need. The Holy Spirit has been and still is doing as the Father commands. The Spirit of God has brought freedom and liberty to mankind from generations of old. He has been our only light in the darkest times of our lives. We must also remember that God put the Holy Spirit here on earth to be used in a powerful way, and He begins to move when we worship and pray from our hearts. He has come to help us in the prayer closet when words can't express our hearts, and when we lay in our infirmities. He is there when our minds are flooded with the cares and issues of the world. He is our strength in the prayer closet. You are not alone, for He is side by side with you making intercession for you and I. The Spirit Himself meets our supplication and pleads on our behalf.  He pleads before God on behalf of the saints, according to God's will. Let us all allow the Holy Spirit to do what He is commanded to do, that is to be our guide on this earth. Give God Praise.

Blessed be the Lord

Psalm 124:6-8 kjv. "Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth." Blessed be the Lord, who saved me from the wicked ways of the enemy. How many times do we really give the Lord Praise for His Sweet Salvation in our lives, and for the many times we were lost without a clue of where to go or what to do? Do we praise Him for the days when the enemy comes in so subtle and grabs our hearts, and He delivers us? What about the days when nothing seems to be going our way, and it feels like the walls are closing in with no escape? We must give the Lord Praise, for He comes to help in our times of need. He is our very help when the enemy, the devil himself, comes in and tries to discourage us. His our help when we are trapped by the trials of life. We are not the prey of the devil, but we are victorious, not only over the devil, but over the world. We are more than conquerors in Jesus Christ. Keep your head up, and let God be God, our help. Give Him Praise.

The forgiveness of sin

Acts 13:38, 39 kjv. "Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by Him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses." Through this one man, Jesus Christ, we are all washed and made whole from a heart stained by sin. Through this one man all sin was forgiven, and the price for Redemption was paid. What the law of Moses could not do, God sent His only Son to do. Christ brought Light to man, and led them out of darkness into everlasting life with God the Father. It is through the Blood of Christ that all who believe are justified, cleared, and freed from every charge. We could not be justified and freed by the Law of Moses. Those who believe are in right standing with God. Thank God for His Love and Mercies, and the heart of a Father, who sees us all standing in the freedom that His Son brought to mankind. Praise the Lord today for He is Good and His Mercy endures forever.

The Lord your Refuge

Psalm 91:9-11 amp. "Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague  or  calamity come near your tent.  For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany  and  defend  and  preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service]." Obedience by faith in the Word of God is the key to these wonderful Blessings mentioned in Psalm 91. We can't expect victory if we live as the world does, playing the harlot as nonbelievers. However, when the Lord becomes our very hope, then can He become our Refuge, the Mighty One over our lives when the enemy tries to come against us. Even sickness and disease have no hold on the believer; the one who dwells in the presence of the Most High. No evil shall come into the  doors of our homes. They have been covered by the Blood of the Lamb. The Lord even gives His angels charge over you and I, to defend us from the spirit forces of wickedness. There is a warfare going on in the heavenly sphere for our souls. The angels are there to protect us and our households, that we may live a life of Peace and true victory.  We serve an awesome God and nothing can compare to His Love. Give Him thanks for He is Merciful.

Every Scripture is God-breathed

2 Timothy 3:16, 17 amp. "Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof  and  conviction of sin, for correction of error  and  discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action),  So that the man of God may be complete  and  proficient, well fitted  and  thoroughly equipped for every good work."  The Holy Bible is a powerful book filled with all that we need to know about righteous living. God-breathed His very Spirit into man, to allow man to write with such power and conviction. We also need the Holy Spirit to help us read and understand this very Word, that was Breathed by God. Who better to help us interpret this Word from God, than the Holy Spirit that moved upon the hands that wrote every scripture? The Holy Bible was given to us for daily living in sound instruction. Unfailing Truth fills the pages, Truth that brings conviction and correction to ones life. The Bible is our guide into maturity and proper understanding of the hope we look forward to. Get a hold of the Word of God today, and allow the Holy Spirit to direct your heart through the pages for a lifetime of fellowship with God's giving Truth. Praise the Lord today for thinking of us all.

Let no man say

James 1:13-16 kjv. "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren." Our God is not a God of confusion, but of holiness, truth, and love. He is a Loving Father that only wants the best for His children. He is a Father that brings correction (discipline) to those who need it. However, He is not a God that will tempt His children with evil, nor draw them away from the Truth. We are the ones who bring the battle to the soul, when our own wants and desires begin to drag us away from a Loving Father. We know what we are weak to and what easily grabs our hearts, and so does the devil. He has been playing with every one of us for years. He has been using the same old tricks. Be on watch and cautious of the evil one. Don't let these temptations entice you. It will only bring spiritual death. The Lord wants only the best for you and I, total freedom from the evil one. Run to Jesus. His arms are open for you to come in. Praise God for His Mercies.

Diligently hearken

Exodus 15:26 amp. "Saying, If you will diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord your God and will do what is right in His sight, and will listen to  and  obey His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases upon you which I brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord Who heals you." There are many people on the face of this earth that are broken-hearted and diseased. Many have tried everything to heal the pain or find a cure for their problem. Some have spent thousands of dollars to live a life free from the heart-ache. Medicine and doctors are not getting any cheaper, and times are not getting any easier. After going through the wilderness with no water for three days, Moses brought Israel to a place called Marah.  At Marah there was water, but the waters were bitter. The people also got bitter towards Moses, and began to complain about the problem they were facing. The wilderness in our lives, just as in the Israelites lives, is to help us grow and become totally dependent upon the Lord. We cannot let the problems we face bring bitterness between us and God. Christ was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities, and with His stripes we are healed. At the Cross of Christ, all our burdens are washed away. Seek the Lord diligenty, and listen to His voice. Walk in obedience with His Word upon your heart, for you are healed. Thank you Jesus.

Proving of your faith

James 1:2-4 amp. "Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.  Be assured  and  understand that the trial and  proving of your faith bring out endurance  and  steadfastness  and patience.  But let endurance  and  steadfastness  and  patience have full play  and  do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing." As Christians, we will face various trials, just as the world faces trials. However, we have the Word of the Lord and the Spirit of God on our side, a great hope to look forward to. Sometimes these trials come in like a storm, strong and unpredictable. There will be times when we don't undersand why we are going through the trials, when we have been faithful to the Lord in all our ways. The trials come to test our faith, and to bring out a total trust in the Lord our God. Trials need to happen in order for our faith to be built up greater in Christ. They are to make one mature and complete, lacking in nothing, and developed into a faithful believer. Sometimes it is hard to count the trials as a joy, but remember they are here to bring forth perfection in us. Thank God for His will. Give Him Praise.

My grace is enough for you

2 Corinthians 12:9 amp. "But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for  My  strength  and  power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed)  and show themselves most effective  in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses  and  infirmities, that the strength  and  power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!" Paul was a man that was of little statue, but he had a large heart. He was a man who said, "I am Crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me." This man, when punished and tortured for speaking the Word of God, would not allow the situation or pain to keep him down. He got up, went to the next town, and spoke the same Word of God. This was a man who did not brag on himself, but on Christ Jesus and Him Crucified. Paul learned about God's Grace and the Power in it, through it, and walking with it. He learned how to trust totally in the Lord, from the inside out. Paul got to the place in his relationship with the Lord where bodily strength had no purpose in his service to the Lord, and the only thing that shone through was his weaknesses and infirmities. These were the times that God's Strength and Power were displayed. It's time that we all boast in our weaknesses and not in our personal strengths. This day, let God be Glorified through all of our weaknesses, for His Grace is sufficient. Give God Thanks.

When I called

Psalm 138:3 amp. "In the day when I called, You answered me; and You strengthened me with strength (might and inflexibility to temptation) in my inner self." There is a peace and assurance when one arises in the morning with the praises of the Lord upon their heart. They begin the new day in the arms of the Lord. In His arms there is love, rest, peace, and strength. He wants us all to start a new day in His wonderful Glory, so he can give us the hope and faith we will need throughout the day. King David starts this Psalm in a powerful way, v:1 "I will praise You with my whole heart." He opened his whole heart up to the Lord, with no more walls, and no more going through the motions of his worship. When the heart is real and willing, God will become willing to move upon the heart. So throughout your day, if temptation looks at you, call upon the Lord. When problems of the past arise, call upon the Lord. He is near to those who call out to Him with a whole heart. Give God praise today with your whole heart.

The light of the world

Matthew 5:14-16 kjv. "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." A city without lights seems lifeless. When we had a black out here, in some parts of Denver, it felt lonely, empty, and eerie. It isn't the same when the lights don't shine, or when a light bulb burns out when you turn on the switch but it doesn't go on. Without light the whole world would be in the dark. So a body without the Light of the Lord is dark. In this world, that has cities filled with light, we as Born-again believers must shine a greater Light that comes from Christ Jesus. We are as a city on a Hill. We must let all know and see this wonderful light in and around us. For darkness cannot apprehend the True Light which lights the world. Glorify the Father in Heaven, and shine among the world with Jesus upon your Heart today. Be a light house for this dark world in the mist of the storms. God Bless you all. Give God Praise.

You must keep awake

Matthew 26:41 amp. "All of you must keep awake (give strict attention, be cautious and active)  and  watch and pray, that you may not come into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."  There is so much evil in this world that it could make a Christian turn away from God. Temptation is everywhere. It comes in all sorts of forms, and fills many, if not all, of our public places. Our youth sees this as normal, while we as believers see it as the devil taking over. In the scripture above, Jesus was about to face all the darkness that we face today. He was not about to give up, because the only way the devil could be defeated was by going to the Cross. However, before He went to the Cross He had to breakthrough in prayer. He Prayed a prayer with so much agony that His sweat was as great drops of blood falling down to the ground. We too must stay awake, watch, and pray, because the devil roams around seeking those whom he can devour. The flesh is weak, and it will always try to stand against The Fathers Will. The Spirit indeed is willing to become our strength and help at all times, through the good and the bad. Keep watch today, and find time to pray. Give God Praise.
