Do not fear them.

"And the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not fear them, for I have delivered them into your hand; not a man of them shall stand before you.” (Joshua 10:8 NKJV). Darkness was defeated 2,000 years ago by Jesus Christ and the Cross of Calvary. The Children of Israel were moving into the promise land, and they were up against many enemies. They had God on their side, and men who knew how to stand up in the mist of a spiritual war. Joshua had no fear of the enemy because he was separated for God. God saw Joshua as a man that did not see the enemy standing, but defeated, struck down by the sword and dead. "And the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;" (Ephesians 6:17 NKJV). Our sword is the very Word of God, and we must understand and acknowledge it as a powerful, living, devil chasing, and God speaking Word. There is no other way to have victory, but through Christ Jesus and the Word of God. We need a sword to defeat the enemy, and it can't be done by just any sword. It takes the very Word of God.
