Delivered us

"Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins" (‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭12-14‬ KJV). We are washed by the blood of Jesus. There is no other power that can take our sins away. It is only through the blood of Jesus. He did not come to condemn the world or point His finger at us and say we are unworthy. He came to save those who are lost, bound, addicted, in need, hopeless, sick, blind, and those who do not have a desire to live anymore. Jesus did not come on His own accord, but He came to do the Father's will. In doing so, He hung on a cross, defeating all principalities, powers, and darkness that hinders and tries to overpower the world. The born-again believer must realize that Jesus gave every one of us the same power to overcome this world. Just the way Jesus was tempted by the devil, we too will be tempted by the tempter, the accuser of the brethren. At that point, we have a choice to fall for the temptation or to combat the enemy with the Word of God. It takes the Word of God to defeat the devil. We could try psychology, philosophy, medication, or counselors, but the Truth is there is only One who can defeat satan and darkness, that One is Jesus Christ the Son of God. God bless you. Amen
