Give for his life

"So Satan answered the LORD and said, “Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life. But stretch out Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will surely curse You to Your face” (‭Job‬ ‭2‬:‭4-5‬ NKJV)! The devil will always try to deceive, manipulate, and hurt us in any way. He is out to destroy the children of God, taking every bit of breath from their lives. The Lord will allow this to happen to His faithful children. He wants to show the angels how faithful we will be, just as Job was when he was being hindered by the enemy. Job lost it all, his children, his estate, his lively hood, and his wealth, all because of the devil. When one has their heart totally surrendered to Christ Jesus, there is no stopping that faithful servant in any way or form. The devil could take everything out of their hands and stomp on it, but the faithful in heart will always continue to praise Jesus. How far is our faith willing to go? Probably not very far because of fear and little faith. However, when we have the faith of the Holy Spirit living within us, nothing can stop that faith. Job never gave in to the voice of the enemy, nor did he let his wife speak to his heart. He just sat there and prayed to God, who created the heavens and the earth. Do we have that kind of faith? Do we have faith that will see past all the calamities and faith that will stare the devil in his eyes and rebuke him? This kind of faith comes through the Holy Spirit and none other. God bless you.
