Stir up the Gift of God

2Tim.1:6-7. " Wherefore I put you in remembrance that you stir up the Gift of God, which is in you by the putting on of my hands. For God has not given us the Spirit of fear; but of power and love and sound mind." Many of us come to Christ broken, lost, and with doubt and unbelief printed on our hearts. But the moment the Lord sets us free we become on fire, and do about anything for the Lord. A new believer will run to their family and friends, letting them know about how Jesus Delivered them out of darkness. Nothing can stop a born-again believer from reaching out to the harvest. Then over time many stop reaching out, only to find the fire burned out. They may have become busy with something or find no time to reach out. The fire has gone out because there is no fuel added to it. A backslider does not let go of God immediately. They just take their eyes off God, and little at a time they are back in the world. So many try to serve both God and the world at the same time, and only find themselves struggling for a way out of the sin nature. Paul told Timothy "Remember that you stir up the Gift of God", rekindle the embers in you. This is the Fire of the Holy Spirit, and  we as believers must rekindle it. It takes the Holy Spirit to bring fire, and we are to keep it burning on the inside. Get back to the fire that you once had for Christ. Come stand for Christ Jesus today. Walk in the Spirit of God, get into the Power,Love, and the Sound Mind, He has given us. Praise the Lord.

The Uncompromisingly Right

Psalms 37:32. "The wicked lie in wait for the (uncompromisingly) righteous and seek to put them to death."  Just as many came against Jesus, they to will also come against you and I, the believer.  The devil knows that we are the children of God. He also knows about the great Mercy and Grace that is given freely from God to all humanity. His job is to stop us from believing in the Mercy and Grace of God. He does this in order to fill our minds with guilt, condemnation, and shame. So the wicked will watch to see if we will sin, only to point their finger and condemn us. They tried to do the same to Jesus, in hope to find wrong in Him. But Christ made it clear that they were the ones wrong and at fault. The devil also knows you won't praise him or follow him.  After all our failures and sin, God's Mercy and Grace will pick us up and place us back on the Rock. The wicked seek to put God's children to death, because they know we were Bought and Paid in Full. The only way they think they can stop us is by death. However, no wicked one can kill Christ living in you and I.  Draw near to the Lord, and wait patiently on Him.

His Spirit Who dwells in you

Rom 8:11. "But if the Spirit of Him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He who raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit Who dwells in you."  Thank God for the Holy Spirit who lives in them that believe, and helps us in times of need. The Spirit of God has been with God from the Beginning of time. We read in the Book of Genesis 1:2 "The Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters." He is the third member of the Trinity. As believers the closest person we will come into contact with from the Kingdom of God, will be the Holy Spirit. He is given freely from God to all believers, as our helper, guide, comforter, and the one to prepare us as a bride for The Son. We were all lost at one time with no direction. Many of us were bound to the darkness of this world, with no thought of freedom, but God the Father had a plan. 1 Cor 6:11 "And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."  He raised Christ from the dead, so He can also restore our lives by His Spirit dwelling in us. Isn't  God good, that He would give us a Helper? He stands on His Promise "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Give Him Praise today.

The Temple of God

Matt 21:12-13 "And Jesus went into the Temple of God, and cast out all them who sold and bought in the Temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them who sold doves, and said unto them, it is written, 'My house shall be called the house of prayer; but you have made it a den of thieves.'"  In the times we live in, people are more moved and excited by entertainment than the power of God. Men of God have allowed this entertainment to come into the House of God. This only pushes true worship and the Holy Spirit out. Have we exchanged the Glory of God for business? Jesus saw the whole Temple area filled with buying and selling, and it grieved His heart. How easy one can put aside the truth in exchange for self gain. The only way we will see a Holy Spirit Revival is to allow the Spirit to move. In order for this to happen, He needs people to move through. We can't afford to lose this generation. They are the next preachers, evangelists, missionaries, and teachers. After Jesus cleaned house, the lame and the blind came to Him in the Temple and were healed. And the children begin to shout "Hosanna to the Son of God." Then Revival moved into the House of God that day.  Pray for the men and women of God, that the Lord will move through them with the Holy Spirit in a Powerful way.

Our dwelling place

Psalms 90:1. "Lord, you have been our dwelling place and our refuge in all generations." God is to be Glorified and Praised. He deserves all the Praise. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Worthy is He, the Lamb of God, who washes away the sin of the world. Thank Him, for He is All Powerful, All Loving, and full of Mercy. There is not a day that passes by that He does not think about you and I. He has a hope that you and I think of Him in this same way. He's our Strong Tower, our Fortress, our ever Living God. He is the Passion that gave His very Best, that all may be Redeemed and brought near to God. He's our very Strength when the enemy comes near, our Rescuer and Savior. He is the light that brings life out of darkness, and breaks the chains of the devil. Worthy is He of all Praise, worthy to be Exalted is our King and Lord. Run to Him today and find Him. Don't let anything stop you from drawing near to Him. Cry out to Him, and He will hear you. He is our Dwelling Place.

The Salvation of the Lord

Exodus 14:13 "And Moses said unto the people, fear ye not, stand still, and see the Salvation of the Lord, which He will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall see them again no more forever."  The Israelites stood between the Egyptians and the Red Sea. One was the enemy of their souls, and the other a body of great water. Satan doesn't easily give up on his attempt to bring the believer back to bondage. He pursued the childern of God, and was not going to stop. Satan saw the Signs and Wonders in the land of Egypt, but this only made his heart harder and full of anger. The devil depends on them he has in bondage. They are slaves under his rule. Their duty is to build his kingdom here on earth. Satan can't afford to lose any of them because this is his power. There are many people in the world today that are under the rule of Pharaoh. Just as the Israelites cried to Moses, many cry in unbelief today. v.11 "And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness?" Some people just want to be left alone. They live in compromise with the world, and as slaves. If you see the enemy coming, believe what God said and you will stay free. The Lord tells the believer today "Fear not, stand still, and see the Salvation of the Lord move in your life, this very moment." God is faithful, and He will always make a way of escape from the works of the devil. Give Praise to our Savior.

He's our Comforter

John 14:18 "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." Jesus came to the earth to become the Perfect  Sacrifice. The one and only Sacrifice God the Father would accept. Now Jesus sits at the Right Hand of God, but He wasn't going to leave the believer hopeless. He made the way for the Holy Spirit to come down to earth and live in the believer's hearts. The job of the Holy Spirit is to prepare the believer and church for Christ's return for His Bride, also called the Rapture. The Holy Spirit comes to convict the believer of unfaithfulness, doubt, and unbelief.  He begins by opening the eyes of the believer, to allow them to recognize the darkness from the Light. He also sanctifies the heart and mind. He begins to separate the believer from the old ways of the previous life.  He's our Teacher, and He will teach  us all we need to know about Christ and what is acceptable unto Him.  He's our Comforter in our times of hurt, rejection, and in our very needs.  He is the other One in the Prayer Closet. He's are Helper when things around us look and feel terrible. He's the only Strength we need when we face the enemy. He's our everything in life. He is life, and our personal guide along life's paths. He see's everything we face and all that confronts us. We are never alone because He is in us, and will remain  in us forever. Walk in the Spirit today, and Praise God for the Comforter in your life.

Count all things but loss

Phil.3:8 "Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for Whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I win Christ": Paul had nothing to look forward to, but the Great Knowledge of Christ. He writes this letter from prison in the union of Jesus Christ. There is no greater thing on this earth, no amount of gain, that could change Paul's mind about the Love he had for Christ Jesus. He removed his heart from self gain, self pity, and placed it on Jesus. This all began with faith. v:9 "And be found in Him, not having my own Righteousness, which is of the Law, but that which is through the Faith of Christ, the Righteousness which is of God by Faith".  All Paul wanted was a greater relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, a deeper intimate companionship and communion with Him. All that had been lost was now gain to win true salvation through Christ Jesus. To know Jesus we must be able to give up all, and it starts with self. Arise in faith today and follow Jesus, and begin to Praise Him, He is Worthy.

Bearing His Cross

John 19:17-18 " And He bearing His Cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: Where they crucified Him, and two other with Him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst".  Many times I see young people come to the Lord and get filled only to find them in a battle soon after. Satan does not take our stand in Jesus lightly. He's going to hit us with all he has. He'll try to tempt us, deceive us, and intimidate us with fear. He tried all this on Jesus, but only found himself defeated. It is through the Cross of Christ that victory is won, and we find salvation. Jesus went forth bearing His Cross, and  we must do the same. All through His ministry He reached out to the sinner and sick. This is the very reason He came. He even hung between two sinners on Golgotha. The Lord's Heart was not on Himself, but on all humanity. When we bear our own cross it too will not be about self, but about others. So expect the devil to come after you, but remember Jesus is in the Midst of us. Col 2:15 "And having disarmed all powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the Cross." Pick up your cross and give God Praise.

Joy over one Sinner

Luke.15:7  "I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in Heaven over one sinner who repents, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance".  Imagine if 1000 people repented all at the same time, what a joy it would be here on earth. But much more in Heaven. Jesus is the Great Shepherd of the sheep and He came to save all that have gone astray. He is in the sheep saving business, this is His purpose and why He died for you and I. Here in Luke.15:4-7. He speaks to us about how He will leave ninety and nine sheep in the wilderness to go after one which is lost. He will stay out there looking and hoping to find this one sheep. Jesus won't come back or give up until He finds His sheep. And when that one is found He will lay it upon His shoulders, rejoicing. And come and show all His friends and neighbours, saying rejoice with Me I have found My lost sheep. What love our Great Shepherd has for His lost sheep. He will show all Heaven the one that was lost is now found. There is nothing more important in the Heart of Jesus than to save a soul. This also should be the heart of us the believer. Praise our Great Shepherd today. We were all at one time that lost sheep.

The Throne of Grace

Hebrews 4:16. "Let us therefore come boldly unto the Throne of Grace, that we may obtain Mercy, and find Grace to help in time of need". Prayer is the life line of a Christian, and there is no other way to communicate with God. God speaks to us through the Bible and we speak to Him through our prayers.  E.M. Bounds said it this way,"As every day demands it's bread, so every day demands it's prayer". In today's church prayer meetings our only something talked about and of little value to the carnal Christian. Many have become strangers to the prayer closet. We must wake up the Anoiting, and get back to that prayer closet. The Lord gives us His Word "come boldly unto the Throne of Grace". This is the place where we get renewed, straightened for a new day. Where we obtain Mercy; He knows what each of us face, and the situations in our life's. We find Grace at the Throne; help from the Father Himself in the time of our need. Let's not pass up this invitation, God is waiting to hear our voices approaching His Throne.

Those who keep My Ways

Pro.8:32-36. "Now then, my sons, listen to Me; blessed are those who keep My Ways. Listen to My instruction and be wise; do not ignore it." The Word of God is a Light for us who believe. This light helps us see where we are going and how to get there. God's instruction must be spoken out to us all so the whole world can hear and listen to Him. We can't afford another day of ignoreing His Words. Many are losing their lives. Teens are lost in the immoral ways of the devil. Our homes and countries are being shaken. The dollar bill is losing its value as each day goes forward. We pass by hurting people everyday that have lost all they have ever owned, and many times it doesn't bother us. How far we have fallen from God's Ways! v:35."For whoever finds Me finds Life and receives favor from the Lord."  There is still time. Grab the True Word of God, place every bit of it into your heart, and wait upon the Lord. He gives life to them that receive Him. This Great Life with the Lord also brings Favor to all who listen to His intructions. Look for Him, cry out to Him, and find Him; v:36."But whoever fails to find me harms himself; all who hate me love death." Don't ignore His intructions, but come to Him in Faith with a heart that is open. Too many are at the point of death and are in need. Pray for them that are in need.

Wait Patiently

Psalm. 40:1-3. "I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a Rock and gave me a firm place to stand." Have you ever been in a pit where nothing seems to be going right? It may feel like you have fallen into a hole full of sin and temptation. You have tried to pull yourself out, only to find yourself deeper in this miry clay. Just like quicksand sin pulls us down.  The more we participate in it, the more it swallows us up. If you're in a pit of sin, lies, and temptation begin to cry out to the Lord. He is the only one that can pull us from this miry clay. Cry out for Help, and He will hear you. Be still and wait patiently for the Lord. He is our Redeemer, and is on His way. He will place you on the Rock of salvation, a firm place of strength. v:3."He put a new song in my mouth a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord." He will replace the cry for help with a new song of praise to God. Many who have seen the previous state you were in will be amazed, and begin to fear and trust in the Lord themselves. Give our Redeemer Praise today.

Cannot quench Love

Song of Solomon. 8:7. "Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man would offer all the goods of his house for love, he would be utterly scorned and despised." Love is very powerful and nothing can stop it from reaching out. It is able to bear up under any circumstance, and it endures everything without getting weak. This is one thing we should not take ligthly, but grab ahold of it. The problem is  many of us have our eyes on something other then love. We have exchanged true love for lust, only to meet our selfish ways. We can give all we have to charity or to the church, but if it doesn't come from a heart that gives in love, then all is despised. There is nothing in this world that can buy love because love is not for sale, it is free.  Let's not pass our blessing by. God is love and His love endures forever. The world we live in must know this great love. The very love that comes from a Father who loves them. Pray for love in this world today.

Him Who is True

1 John. 5:20-21. "And we know that the Son of God is come, and has given us understanding, that we may know Him Who is true, and we are in Him Who is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the True God, and Eternal Life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen." We are saved by the Blood of the Lamb, and have a great future to look forward to.  This salvation we have is for free, but it only  comes by our obedience to the Lord.  Jesus has done every thing possible to bring us freedom. He sits at the Right Hand of the Father making intersession for you and I.  Now it is our turn to do every thing we can in order to spread His Word and His Love to all who surround us. It's time to get out from our comfort zone and get in to the Holy Spirit zone. Jesus has come to give us not only salvation, but also the understanding we need to live, and the knowledge and strength to reach the lost and sick. There is nothing that can stop Jesus (the Messiah), and we are in Him Who is true, so nothing can stop us either. Remember we can be our worst enemy, and there are things such as worldly idols that can easily take our eyes off of He that is true, and pull us away. Get to know Christ greater. Let Him occupy your heart, and see Him fulfill His promises to you.  Praise Him today.

The Comforter

John 14:26. "But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name ( in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf), He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall ( will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you". The fire of the Holy Spirit must move in these last days. The only one that can allow the Holy Ghost to move is you and I. The Holy Spirit moved greatly in the first church and has been moving ever since. It is still moving today in many places around the world. Jesus gives us the Holy Spirit to bring correction (conviction) to our lives, and to teach us to follow Him correctly. The Holy Ghost is given to you and I to become rich in God's knowledge and understanding. We are called to be followers of Christ and imitators of His Glorious Love. The only way this can manifest is through the power of His Spirit. Jude.20-21. "But you, Beloved, building up yourselves on your most Holy Faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, Keeping yourselves in the Love of God, looking for Mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto Eternal Life."  Walk in God's Righteousness through the Power of His Holy Spirit. Give Him Praise.

Don't Worry

Phil. 4:6-7.  "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."  Have you ever felt so stressed out that you worry yourself out of sleep? I believe many of us have.  Paul writes these verses from a Prison, and if you read the whole letter to the Philippians there is not a bit of worry in his writings. He brings encouragement to the readers through all his circumstances. The truth is, Paul  experienced God's peace in a prison cell. Through all this he writes "Don't worry about anything, instead, Pray about everything."This man had a relationship with the Lord, and nothing was about to change his mind or heart. He gives us all the right ingredients to over come stress, worry, and strain. "PRAY" and give God thanks, and in return His peace will guard your heart and mind. Stand up shake off any anxiety, and let your prayer be known to God.

Decisions

Every day we are surrounded by decisions, and some come all of the sudden. When they do come, we have to be ready to make the right choice. There are three men in the book of Daniel that were confronted about their belief in God. They had to make a decision, whom they were going to serve. We too on occasions get confronted about our belief in God, and not only by people, but also the many things that surround us. King Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold, and when they heard the music everyone was commanded to fall down and worship it.  But whosoever did not fall down in worship, would be cast into the fiery furnace. There are many images that come into our homes through T.V. and the computer. Our streets in America are also flooded with images full of  "sex, drugs, and music." So many people are blind, falling down, and worshiping these idols. They don't recognize that satan is the one behind the idols. These three men had made up their minds they were not going to worship anyone or any thing other then God. Daniel 3:17-18. "If it be so, our God Whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto you, O king, that we will not serve your gods, nor worship the golden image which you have set up."  Every day starts new, and decisions will arise. The Question is, who will you worship today?

Build in Christ

Matt.7:24-29. "Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the wind blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not; for it was founded upon a rock." When you build a house you first begin with the foundation. The foundation is the strength of your home. The builder will begin by digging footings, the foundation, into the ground and have them tamped down until the earth is rock hard. Then he will take rebar, tie it together, placing it in the footings, and keeping it off the ground. After that is done he will pour cement into the footings, level it, and place anchor bolts to attach the floor. Then begins the house. There is a lot of work to begin building a house in the natural and also in the supernatural. Jesus is our blue print and builder in the supernatural. He is far greater then any other builders. If you follow His sayings and obey them your house (yourself) will not fall, but you have to let Him dig deep into your heart. The foundation (Rock) has to be layed down.  The bigger the house, the bigger and deeper the foundation has to be. It starts by each one of us hearing his sayings and doing them. He is the Savior and only wants the best for each of us. Give Him Praise.

The enemy of Fear

Deut. 7:2. "And when the Lord your God will deliver them before you; you shall smite them, and utterly destroy them; you shall make no covenant with them, nor show mercy unto them"  Every now and then the Lord is going to check our faith, to see whether we are trusting in Him or not. Most of the time fear has gotten in the way of our faith. Thank God for the Cross of Christ that destroyed all the works of the enemy, and for His Blood that gives us freedom from all sin. The Lord was also checking the faith of the Israelites, and hoping that they would take everything they learned in the wilderness into The Promise Land.  Today I have seen many battle for the promises of God.  Lack of faith is the greatest enemy in our lives. The devil will try to get you and I to move by fear and unbelief.  This spirit of fear must be exterminated in our lives, utterly destroyed.  We can learn from the Old Testament how the Israelites got victory and smote the enemy. The same way they over threw the enemy in the wilderness, we as believers can do the same. It takes Obedience to the Word of God and faith in the Promises of God to overthrow the enemy. Thank God today who destroyed the enemy of tomorrow.

Look at Jesus

Matt. 14:22-33. Don't let situations in life overwhelm you, keep your eyes on Jesus. The devil would like to see your eyes off of Jesus so he can come in and remove your faith, by replacing it with fear.   Then the problem only looks more difficult than in the beginning. Just as when Peter came out of the ship, and walked on water towards Jesus. For a moment nothing looked impossible to him because he was walking in faith and looking straight at Jesus. v:30 "But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, 'Lord save me'." This is what happens when we take our eyes off of Jesus and put them on the storms that surround us in every day life. Situations will always arise and many of the trials will look and sound too big to get through. Do as  Peter! Step out of the ship into the storm in faith, but keep your eyes on Jesus. He is the only one that can calm the storm, and if you begin to sink cry out to Jesus. He will stretch out His Hand and save you. Jesus hears our prayers and knows our needs. Step out into this world of storms by Faith, with your whole being in Jesus Christ. Give Him Praise today.

His Compassion

Lam. 3:22-23. "It is the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Your faithfulness." Who can ever understand the power of God's Love? Or who can ever doubt His Mercy? He has only been faithful to us all. He proved His compassions to all humanity by giving His very best, His Son, that all may know Him and His love. The same compassion He showed to Jeremiah is the same compassion He brings to us every morning.  Every new day brings a fresh new start in the Lord's Mercies and Compassions. This is for every one and more so. It is for them who feel like giving up. It is also for them where maybe sin has taken over, and they can't get out of it. It is for those who might be fighting the call of God in their lives. What ever we face daily remember God is faithful, that we are not consumed. His Hand is upon the believer and it fails not.  Arise with the Lord every morning, looking forward to fellowship with Him. Give Him thanks for His Mercies in your life. Great is His Faithfulness.

Birth from a Prayer

Hannah prayed until she got what she asked for. She never gave up even when bitterness came upon her soul. 1 Sam 1:10-11. "And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore. And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of host, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your handmaid, and remember me, and not forget Your handmaid, but will give unto Your handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head."  What a powerful prayer to ask for something only to give it back. Ultimately, every thing we ask in prayer is God's not ours, because "All good-things come from above." God is so good that anything we ask of Him, He will give to us, only if we are willing to give it back to Him. All things that come from the Father are to Glorify God and His Kingdom, but to get prayer answered, we must also weep just as Hannah wept. This kind of praying gives birth to something great, from the Lord above. Bitterness did not stop her, but she stopped bitterness by calling on the Lord. Pray today for your promise, and just remember all the Glory goes to God.

Come into the Light

John 3:20. "For every one who does evil hates the light, neither cometh to the Light, lest his deeds should be reproved." So many times when I was teenager, I would get my hands on something that I didn't want any one to know about, and I would hide it.  Many of these things I hid, and if I would have been caught with them I would have been ashamed and embarrassed. So I kept them hidden in a good spot, a place where no one would find them, my mind. The only time I would go to this secret hiding place was when it was dark and no one was around. Little did I know the more sin I hid the darker I got, and soon it became all I desired. There is no way to escape from this secret darkness, it only becomes darker. Evil has kept so many people hidden in darkness, and many are living double lives wishing they could break away from this hidden secret. The only way to break away is when one has made up their mind and repents. This is the only way he or she can be free from such evil. It took the Light of Jesus Christ to push this darkness out of me and replace it with His light.  Let's stop hiding in darkness and come into the Light. Pray for the Light of Christ in your life today.

1 Cor. 1:27. God chose what is foolish

1 Cor. 1:27. "But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong."  I was a lost soul in this world. I was talked about and looked down at. I didn't know where I was going in life. I tried just about every avenue this world has, but nothing seemed to work.  What a joy it is to be born again, to be loved by the Lord, and to live a fearless life in Jesus Christ.  There was a time when I couldn't preach the word of God. I had no idea what the plan was that our Father had for me.  However, the more I fasted, prayed, and studied, the more I was able to speak to others openly about the Good News.  I had always been the non-talker, but  the Lord gives His children the right amount of wisdom and strength to confound the wise of this world. You could not get me to speak in front of any group of people, but the Lord can. He has chosen you and I, the foolish and weak things in this world, to shame the wise and mighty of this world. This can only be done by one putting their total trust in the Cross of Christ. The Cross is the foundation of wisdom and strength. v:31. "Let him who boasts and proudly rejoices and glories, boast and proudly rejoice and glory in the Lord." Give Him Praise today.

Our Light

1 John 1:5. "This is the Message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all." I remember as a child, when it was bed time my mom would turn on a little night light of an angel to bring some kind of light into the room.  However, there came a time when I decided to ask my mom not to turn on the night light.  As soon as my mom shut the door of my bedroom it got darker and darker. Then I started to regret what I had told my mom to do. Thoughts of monsters started to play in my mind. I got scared and thought if I could only get up and turn on my little light, this feeling of fear would go way. But I couldn't even move, so I began to call upon my mom, but she would not come. So I got louder "MOM!", I cried. And suddenly my mom came running in asking, "what's wrong?" How powerful is The Light,  that even as a child I felt protected by it, even if it did come by a little night light. Our "God is Light and there is no darkness in Him at all." Give God thanks for His Light that leads us from darkness.

Our Heart

The heart is a powerful muscular organ that keeps the circulation of the blood in the body. This very organ keeps you and I alive, and without it working we would die. The Word of God looks at the heart as man's whole personality, "his intellectual nature". Our heart is the very thing that also keeps us alive in our walk with Christ, and we must protect it at all times.  Prov.4:23. "Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flows the springs of life." This heart of our's is the life line to the Father, and we must keep it from  hurting others and getting hurt. We must also keep it from being defiled by sin and disturbed by trouble. Keep out bad thoughts, and keep in pure thoughts. Guard this heart for out of it flows the spring, the "issues", of life, the foundation of the faith, which is in Jesus Christ.  Our God sees all, but the one thing He really takes time to look at is the heart of man. God sees who we really are, and if we are true to what we claim to be. Protect your heart. This is the only organ that will keep us alive in the natural and supernatural. Praise God today.

I the Lord search the Heart

1 Samuel. 16:7." But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart." The heart is the very soul of man, our thoughts, feelings, and passions. The heart shows who we really are. This is where the hidden things of our lives will be found. Many times we as believers stop our own blessings from the Lord, by holding on to things in our hearts that we should have let go of when we first got saved. In Jeremiah 17:9 the Word of God says,"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" v:10. "I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings." God isn't worried about our looks as some might be. God's eyes go right to the individual's heart. He sees the joy, hurt, anger, even our thoughts of Him.  Matt.5:8. "Blessed is the pure in heart: for they shall see God." Remember God sees all even our hearts. Ask Him to check your heart, and begin to make it poor. Give Him Praise.

Seek for Knowledge

Hosea 4:6." My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." An old friend of mine once told me that knowledge is the best thing a person could have,  it's your's,  no one can take it away.  The Word of the Lord says, " My people perish because of the lack of knowledge." There's no need to be destroyed by the enemy when we have the Word of God. The Holy Bible is filled with knowledge, and this knowledge is not from man but from God Himself. We must discipline ourselves in the Word of God everyday by opening it so we can be filled with God's very Words.  Here in America the Word is free, and we are free to know the Truth.  Don't ignore it, but jump into it and you will not perish.    Pro.3:5. "Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind, and do not rely on your own insight or understanding." This is God's great wisdom that comes from every page in this Holy Bible. v:18  "She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her: and happy is everyone who holds her fast."  God is speaking of His Wisdom, His Knowledge, and all who trust in His Ways shall inherit everlasting life. Grab your Bible, seek for knowledge in your life, and don't let another day pass you by. Pray that God will show you something new today.

The Fire of God

Exodus 3:1-22.  It would take a lot of faith to go into a nation that is lost and in bondage, and to step up to its ruler and say, " Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let My People go!"  What would move a man or woman to do such a thing? The Fire of God, The Great I Am, is the only one who can move on a heart to stand up in such boldness.  The Lord appeared unto Moses in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush, and the bush burned with fire, but was not consumed.  Would this burning bush get our attention? I'm sure it would.  We would either run from it or go take a closer look. Moses went in for a closer look, and God called him by name out of the burning bush, saying "Moses, Moses." Today the same Holy Spirit burns with a Passion to get our attention. He gets our attention hoping that we will not run from Him, but take a closer look, and step into His very presence.  God is a God that keeps His promises. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He never changes. It takes that same Fire that talked with Moses to save a nation.  Moses was never the same from that day on. God walked with him and he with God.  To have Revival we need the Fire of God, the Holy Spirit, to see the sick healed, the lame walk, the mute talk, the deaf hear, and the dead rise. This takes the Power of God. 2 Cor.3:17. "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty." Pray today that the Holy Spirit would move in every nation.
