The enemy of Fear
Deut. 7:2. "And when the Lord your God will deliver them before you; you shall smite them, and utterly destroy them; you shall make no covenant with them, nor show mercy unto them"
Every now and then the Lord is going to check our faith, to see whether we are trusting in Him or not. Most of the time fear has gotten in the way of our faith. Thank God for the Cross of Christ that destroyed all the works of the enemy, and for His Blood that gives us freedom from all sin. The Lord was also checking the faith of the Israelites, and hoping that they would take everything they learned in the wilderness into The Promise Land. Today I have seen many battle for the promises of God. Lack of faith is the greatest enemy in our lives. The devil will try to get you and I to move by fear and unbelief. This spirit of fear must be exterminated in our lives, utterly destroyed. We can learn from the Old Testament how the Israelites got victory and smote the enemy. The same way they over threw the enemy in the wilderness, we as believers can do the same. It takes Obedience to the Word of God and faith in the Promises of God to overthrow the enemy. Thank God today who destroyed the enemy of tomorrow.
