Birth from a Prayer

Hannah prayed until she got what she asked for. She never gave up even when bitterness came upon her soul. 1 Sam 1:10-11. "And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore. And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of host, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your handmaid, and remember me, and not forget Your handmaid, but will give unto Your handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head."  What a powerful prayer to ask for something only to give it back. Ultimately, every thing we ask in prayer is God's not ours, because "All good-things come from above." God is so good that anything we ask of Him, He will give to us, only if we are willing to give it back to Him. All things that come from the Father are to Glorify God and His Kingdom, but to get prayer answered, we must also weep just as Hannah wept. This kind of praying gives birth to something great, from the Lord above. Bitterness did not stop her, but she stopped bitterness by calling on the Lord. Pray today for your promise, and just remember all the Glory goes to God.

  1. That is beautiful Word. To give back unto Him. The Lord of Hosts. The True King. Messiah Redeemer Deliverer. The Morning Star. The Hope of Glory. Lord draw nigh unto me as I draw nigh unto you.
