My foot hath held his steps.

"My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food" (Job 23:11, 12 KJV). Job lost everything he ever had, his family, his home, and all his cattle. However, after all that Job went through, he still did not renounce God. Job looked for the Lord, just like many of us believers do. There are times when it seems that God has hidden Himself from us. We cannot perceive Him, but just like Job, we have to continue to maintain a rightful direction. God is not out to hurt us, but to love us and to show us His great and mighty way. The Lord has come to teach us to be righteous and holy and to protect us from the enemy, the evil one. The Lord is loyal to His word, and he will never allow harm to come upon His children that love Him. There will come a time when our faith is going to be deliberately tested by God. We might not be certain as to what the Lord is doing, but we must know that whatever it is we will come forth as gold, purified through the fire. Job loved the Lord with all of his heart, soul, and mind. He was not going to let the enemy get the victory over his life. Job did lose everything, but he feared the Lord, and was not about to renounce God, even in such pain and misery. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction" (Proverbs 1:7). Job knew God had an eternal plan, and he had no doubt that the Lord was somewhere in the midst of all his troubles. Fear must be mingled with confidence as we go down this road of life. There is a blessing waiting for you and I. God bless you. Amen
