Follow me
"And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men" (Matthew 4:19 KJV). Jesus came out of the wilderness of temptation, led by the Holy Spirit, into a world that was lost in darkness and broken down with immorality and lawlessness, a world lost in itself. Jesus came with one purpose, and that was to be the perfect sacrifice for all humanity. He came to pour out His blood in order to redeem mankind back to God the Father. He came to take authority over the keys of death, taking them from Satan himself. He needed good men and women to take on the call of the great Gospel. So, He went out and found men to follow Him. He found fisherman. They were not educated men, but they were loyal to their duties here on Earth. These men were not rich nor did they come from a noble background, but they did as they were called to do, that was to be fisherman. Jesus has chosen many to follow Him, to come after Him. In order to do so, one must leave everything behind them and proceed after the Lord Jesus. This is the struggle that most believers have. God has called them to be disciples and soon to be leaders, but the problem they have is letting go of their own lives. Some just can't move out of their comfort zone and drop everything that holds them back from running to Christ. However, those who do arise, drop their nets, and follow the Lord, will be blessed abundantly. Give God praise and allow Him to discipline your life. God bless you. Amen
