Unbelief

"Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen" (Mark 16:14 KJV). The disciples got word from Mary Magdalene that the Lord Jesus had appeared to her and had risen from the grave. However, they were in disbelief. They spoke as if it was an idle tale, and they did not believe. Imagine the moment when the Lord appeared to that young lady, who was once bound by seven wicked spirits. Imagine what she felt in her heart when Jesus called her by name. Our Lord does not forget the believer who does not forget Him. Jesus will come near to those who cleave to Him. He will show Himself real to those who believe in Him, rely on Him, and put their faith in Him. Many young people today fight the fact that He is the Great I Am. They find it hard to believe He is everywhere through the power of the Holy Spirit, and that He came to set the sinner free at the cross of Calvary. I believe in this last hour that our faith must become so real in our Lord Jesus Christ so that He will begin to appear to us too. He has appeared to many across this world, not only in appearance but through His message, the Word of God. When Jesus showed up to His disciples, who reclined at a table, He reproved them for their unbelief and hardness of heart. Jesus let them know how little faith they had even after three years of telling them that He would rise from the grave. Let us not lose heart in our Lord Jesus Christ. He is on His way to pick up His bride, the church, and to take them home to Heaven above. Give God praise. God bless you. Amen
