I will now turn aside.

"And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I" (Exodus 3:3,4 KJV). God got Moses' attention from the midst of the burning bush. Moses couldn't help but look. He said to himself, "I will turn and see this great sight". Moses recognized the bush was captured in flames, but it was not consumed. The Lord recognized that Moses was drawn to His fire, and He called for Moses out of the midst of the burning bush. Jesus Christ is involved in directing our lives, and with Him in charge, there is no way the enemy can hold us bound or chained. When God the Father led Moses by His Spirit into a land where the enemy had rule, Moses definitely knew that it was God the Father leading him. When God leads an individual by His Spirit into a place where darkness has dominion, the Holy Spirit will bring great light and life to those who are in captivity. For where the Spirit of God is there is liberty, freedom from all the old standards and the past ways of living. There's redemption. God has given us the Holy Ghost to keep us alive and in right relationship with Him. Just as God has lead many great men and women to proclaim the Good News to the brokenhearted, He also has no problem leading you and I to a people that are in captivity. Just like most of us, Moses possibly had some doubts. He did ask the Lord, "who am I?". With the Holy Spirit in our lives, we are the children of God, "crying Abba Father". God did not give us the spirit of this world, but the Holy Spirit, the One that speaks truth, the very truth that comes from the throne of God. God bless you. Amen
