Sins are covered

“Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.” (Romans 4:7, 8 ESV). All men have fallen short of the glory of God. We all have sinned in one way or another and are guilty of that sin. There is not one man on this earth who has not been bound in one way or another by the sin nature that we were all born into. This sin nature came through Adam and Eve and their disobedience in the garden of Eden. Overtime, men made a covenant with God the Father for the atonement of their sins through the blood of bulls and goats, yet their hearts or consciences were not cleansed. Evil still stood out from their hearts and gripped them. They found themselves worshiping other things rather than God the Father. Then God sent His Son to fulfill the law. "But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons" (Galatians 4:4, 5 ESV). Jesus came and redeemed us by perfectly keeping the law, and above all He satisfied its penalty on the cross, which was death. Through Him, we stand in faith so that we might receive the adoption of sons. It is the blood of Christ that sets the heart of man free from the sins, guilt, and shame that has held man in bondage throughout time. Give the Lord praise today, for there is victory in the blood of Jesus. God bless you. Amen
