Receive power
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (Acts 1:8 KJV). How precious the Lord is. The Word of God says that Christ will not leave us hopeless as orphans in this world, but will send back the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit. Jesus spoke to His disciples in the book of Acts saying, " But wait for the promise of the Father" (Acts 1). The promise is the Holy Spirit. See, God knew that you and I could not take on this journey by ourselves, for our strength is limited but the strength of God is powerful and endures forever. God freely gives us this gift, and the gift of the Holy Spirit is not to be taken lightly. For the Holy Spirit is a living being that lives within us, and He is available to everyone who accepts Jesus Christ as their Savior. However, there's also a price for this precious gift, we must repent. "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call" (Acts 2:38, 39 KJV). Church, we need the Holy Spirit in this last hour. There is no other way to live the Christian life, saved and sanctified, but only through the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. God bless you.
