Born of God.

"Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him" (1 John 5:1 ESV). The blood of Christ has set us free, and we are free from the chains of darkness and redeemed into the Lord's arms. Through His blood, we have a new birth, and every human being has access to this new birth by faith. Jesus has broken the chains of darkness. Christ has defeated the devil, and He has given us all the opportunity to come into this great new birth. It is living a life free and full of the love of Jesus. Those who are faithful and abide in the great Word of God will overcome the world and all the darkness that is in it. God is calling us to be born again, to start a new life in His Son, Jesus Christ. It's a life that demonstrates God's will and the Father's love for all. This new life we live is not ours. No, we have been purchased, bought by the Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him, the Holy Spirit begins to work within us, to lead us, and to guide us closer and more intimately to the Lord. Just like that new born baby, we too will be taught how to talk, how to walk, and how to be faithful to the One who's called us. The Lord has given us authority. Not only has He given us authority, but we are children of God. We are His chosen ones, and there's nothing greater than that. "Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God" (vs. 5)? We are His children, and He is our father. It's time we start getting the family together.
