Shall not depart

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success" (Joshua 1:8 KJV). After the death of Moses, the servant of the Lord, the Lord spoke to Joshua and told him to go over the Jordan with the children of Israel into a land which was given unto them. The Lord told him, "every place your foot treads upon shall be the land you will possess". God also said to Joshua, "I will be with you: I will not fail you, nor forsake you. Be strong and very courageous, and do not let the law depart out of your mouth but meditate upon it day and night and you shall make your way prosperous" (Josh.1). The Lord gave Joshua His very Word. Joshua and all the Israelites would be protected and have prosperity even in the land they had never seen before. The Lord gives us this promise today, if we keep His Word upon our hearts and meditate upon it day and night and not lose courage, we will also protected and prosper. The Lord wants to see His children flourish and prosper. We are God's children and He is our Father. He wants the very best for us, and it will take His Word living inside of us. It will take the Living Word of God that brings light and life to our souls. Darkness cannot comprehend the light. Joshua trusted in the Word of God, and the Word lead him into victory and into the promised land. God bless you. Amen
