Ye seek to kill me.

"I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you" (John 8:37 KJV). The Pharisees refused to hear the message that came from God the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ. These men could not see the fact that Jesus was the Messiah. They could not swallow the fact or see past this just man, who claimed to be Son of God. These men were brought up in the Word of God. They read prophecy about the coming Messiah, but they refused to hear the truth from Jesus, the son of Joseph, the Son of God. So many people in these last days do not understand the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even with the truth being spoken to them, they will not believe or adhere to it. They simply forsake the Truth and go on assuming that because they are living a life free from drug addiction, alcoholism, or any form of perversion or immorality that they are good people. That stands true. They are good people, but little do they know that they do not have the kingdom of God to look forward to. They refuse the Word, and it has no place in them because they give it no place to dwell. So, they will strive on their own selfish ambitions and false hopes, only lusting after more and never seeing an end to their lusts. They are like the blind leading the blind as many fall into self conceit. The true believer stands in faith, holding up the Word of God within their hearts, and putting Christ in first place above all. We must not allow our own foolish reasoning to drown out what God has given to all who believe. Give God praise. God bless you. Amen
