We will not serve your gods.

"Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, it is not necessary for us to answer you on this point. If our God Whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up"(Daniel 3:16-18 AMP)! When the music started playing and the crowd started worshiping, Shadrach, Meshach, Abed-nego did not bow down and worship some man-made god. These three young men had a relationship with the One True God. They knew their Savior. It did not matter how big and shiny the image was or how many threats they may have gotten from the people who worshipped this heathen god. They were not about to bow down to King Nebuchadnezzar's god. Today there are so many idols. There's so much music that grabs the soul, and so many people don't even realize that some of the music is to catch the attention of their hearts and to turn them away from serving Christ with a full heart. Many don't even know that it is a form of worship when one begins to chase after these pop-stars. Buying up all their CDs and T-shirts is a form of idolizing. Some will spend hundreds of dollars to go see one show, and not think twice about giving one dollar to their local church. This world has become a big merchandise of idols, and it has a hold on this younger generation. It is no different today than it was back then. To this day music is being used in a big way to influence people away from the One True God. Lucifer was the head of worship in Heaven, and his occupation hasn't really changed at all. He is still in the music business. Let's keep our eyes, ears, and mouths ever so open to our Lord Jesus Christ, giving Him praise and worshiping Him. We must say no to the gods of this world, just as these three young Hebrew men did. I believe we have the same faith and courage in the name of Jesus to do the same. God bless you.
