Believe on Him

"But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness" (Romans 4:5 KJV). How many times have we been caught trying to earn our salvation, working for salvation and believing that it will bring credit to our walk in Jesus Christ? We do not earn our salvation, no not at all. It is a gift of God. It was God's Son who made salvation possible, not our works. This perfect salvation comes when we place our faith exclusively in Christ Jesus."For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast" (Ephesians 2:8, 9 KJV). Faith in our Lord brings power to the believer's heart. It brings living power to overcome the temptations and the snares of the evil one. Faith in Jesus builds warriors that are ready for battle, and above all ready to spread the gospel truth under the authority of the Holy Spirit. Faith in our Lord makes a man and woman glow in Christ Jesus. It is through faith that we receive grace, and God sees it as righteousness. There is nothing impossible when one lives, stands, and wholeheartedly places their faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. The work has been done, and it was done 2,000 years ago at the cross of Calvary.
