I Shall Be Whole

"And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole" (Mark 5:25-28 KJV). I have been around men and women who are lost and bound by drugs, alcohol, sexual perversion, and sickness, and many also have been broken in heart. Many of them, if not all of them, want freedom from that kind of life style, only to find it hard to deny themselves to a living God. The Bible says, "Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness" (Romans 6:16 NKJV)? We might live and walk in freedom, but there might be someone we know who is enslaved by sickness, drugs, or any thing else other than Christ. It is our duty as believers to let them know about Jesus and His wonderful mercy. This woman had a sickness for twelve years and spent all the money she had in hope to get well, but nothing or noone was able to help her. Then, she heard about Jesus. She heard how He heals and saves those in need. This Jesus she heard of was about to come by the very place she was standing. She had no more hope in man or the inability they brought to her. She had nothing to lose, but she had faith, a new life, and healing from the burden of her life to gain. No crowd or the issues at hand was going to stop her. She was ready for her miracle. All she did was reach out to Jesus, and that is all we need to do also. Reach for Him and touch the hem of His garment, and you will be made whole. Nothing is impossible for our Lord. If we just step out and reach for Him, He will reach back to us. God bless you. Amen
