Forsaken

"And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, 'Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani'? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me" (Mark 15:34 KJV)? As darkness came upon the land, Jesus was all alone on the cross. He was whipped, beaten, and had no more strength in His mortal body. He was alone and forsaken, just as many are in this world, and some have been forgotten. Today, divorce is a common act in this world. I don't know about any other country, but here in America divorce has become normal. When it comes to pass, bitterness takes over in both parties, and if kids are involved it sure can get really touchy. When their parent's divorce, kids find themselves hurt, broken, and caught in the middle between two homes. It's always hard to say good bye to someone you love, especially when you love them so much. Separation is not easy. It is painful. God the Father was separated from His Son when He went to die on the cross because sin separated them. Sin is always the cause of broken homes and hurt children. There are many families that understand sin and the darkness of it, yet they still will not forsake their actions or involvement with it. Sin brings division to many homes, causing parents to leave their kids or put the kids in the middle of the battle. It becomes messy and hurtful for the child. Let the Light of Christ shine in these trying times. God bless you. Amen
