The Lord Was With Him

"And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt" (Genesis 41:46 KJV). Rejection can be very hurtful, especially if it is from someone you love dearly. The hand of God is in it all and is upon all who trust in Him. Joseph never gave up on the Lord, even through the hard times that he faced. He was put in a pit to die. Then, he was sold into slavery by his own brothers for twenty pieces of silver. Through it all, he kept his eyes on God, when some people would have given up on God. "And his master saw that The Lord was with him, and that The Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand" (Genesis 39:3). God was not done with him. Joseph was tempted with sin but sinned not, yet he was wrongly accused by Potiphar's wife. He was thrown into prison for something he did not do. God will take us through a journey to mold and shape us into His children. Many of these trials do not feel good nor do they seem right, especially when they are coming from a God who is filled with mercy and grace. Joseph had every right to quit on God. He had every excuse to run away from the King of Glory, but instead he stuck it out because he knew the promise from God was going to come to past. People may reject us, even those who are suppose to love us, but God is doing something great within our hearts. If those who are rejected do not allow the rejection to come between them and God, that believer, just like Joseph, will be able to stand up against the next trial that comes along their way. Joseph never lost faith, and he was crowned for it. He became Pharaoh's right-hand man because he was a man of character and integrity, and he was faithful to who he believed in. God is what he lived for. Don't let your circumstances defeat you, but allow them to shape you. Never give up on your dreams. God bless you. Amen
