Everlasting covenant.
"And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me" (Jeremiah 32:40 KJV). Jeremiah says, "I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me". We cannot work up a holy fear on our own. This holy fear can only be accomplished in us by God's Spirit. If we all had reverential and worshipful fear of the Lord, this world would be a greater place, a place filled with peace and rest. However, our fears are in something else other than the Lord, and that's the problem. We fear more of what man can do to us rather than fearing God and what He can do to us. There are some godly men that have lost the fear of the Lord, and the result is that the church is lukewarm. When there is no fear of God anymore, the allowance of the world begins to control the atmosphere of the church. In other words, men have the fear of losing people in their church rather than the fear of losing the anointing of the Holy Spirit. So, they preach a watered down message to suit their liking. Some men become afraid to offend their sheep with the true message of God. There's no time to fear man and what he's going to think. We need to fear the Lord with all of our hearts. It is the only way we can receive the truth through the Holy Spirit. God bless you. Amen
