"For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God" (Romans 8:15, 16 KJV). When we allow the Holy Spirit to reign in our lives, we no longer are under bondage or fear. We are the sons and daughters of God the Father. The Holy Spirit is what makes our walk with Jesus more enjoyable and definitely a whole lot easier. Without the Holy Spirit, we have nothing but ourselves to rely on and those old familiar ways that weigh us down with condemnation and shame. Without the Holy Spirit, discouragement becomes our friend once again, along with misery and loneliness. So many people in the church today walk around with the old baggage over their shoulders, their hearts broken, and their minds darkened by the past. It is only through the Holy Spirit, a powerful move of God's presence, that people are set free. Programs are not working. Entertainment in the church is not bringing freedom. It's going to take more than that. We need the presence of God, the third person of the Trinity, to bring liberation to God's children. As long as the church is content with their lives and the way things are going, they will miss out on true freedom. However, with the Spirit of God, that He has given to us, we are able and more than able to conquer. God bless you. Amen
