Unrighteousness.

"Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God" (Romans 6:13 KJV). There is no way any of us can stop the sin nature on our own. The sin nature has been something that we were all born with, and it wants to be in charge. Many times we find ourselves trying to control it and another times it is uncontrollable. Why do so many christians try to fight the battle with the sin nature on their own, not knowing they are only going to lose? The victory is only found in Jesus Christ. When we don't place our faith every day in what Jesus did at calvary, we will begin to walk in our own strength and desire to place our faith on something other than the cross. However, when Christ was lifted up to heaven, He gave us His Holy Spirit to come and have dominion inside of our lives. This should give the believer hope. The Holy Spirit brings faith, trust, and love. He is our guide to get us on the right track each day. With the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of us, the sin nature can do nothing but move aside. How beautiful is that? Stop trying to fight a battle you and I cannot win, but fight the good fight of faith in Jesus Christ. God bless you. Amen
