Devote yourself
"Till I come, devote yourself to [public and private] reading, to exhortation (preaching and personal appeals), and to teaching and instilling doctrine". (1 Timothy 4:13 AMP). The apostle Paul wrote to young Timothy and told him not to worry about what others think about his age, but rather to be an example to all other believers and to be committed to the Word of God. Devote yourself to the truth by faith in Jesus Christ, in purity and in love through the Holy Spirit. God not only called Timothy and Paul, but He also called us to live as an example to those who surround us. Walk in the integrity of Christ Jesus. Don't walk away from it. Live a life desiring the gifts of the Spirit, and allow them to move through you. Paul was letting young Timothy know that the only way one can be a great example is by following Jesus Christ, and Him only, in faith. Hard times will come, but be a doer of the Word of God. Stand in the truth, and do not allow the world to come into your heart. By doing so, you will make it in this world. Crave the Word of God. Check your heart to see if you're walking in it, holding to the truth, and not being left behind. Walk with your eyes on Christ, and you will not stumble. God bless you. Amen
