You Have Armed Me
"For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose against me" (II Samuel 22:40 NKJV). David overcame his enemy by trusting in Christ. He walked after the Spirit because his eyes were only on Christ. Holy Spirit, teach us! Teach us to be strong. Teach us to stand in Christ Jesus’ everlasting love, and give us a desire to not be moved. When the enemy surrounds us, we run to you, Oh Lord. When the enemy comes into our minds and begins to deceive and tempt us, Father, you are the only one we can run to and find shelter in at all times. God never changes, but we do. It seems like so many things change with time. Along with this changing of time, we can easily lose the fire and passion we once had for Jesus Christ. The love that we once searched for and desired so much for has now diminished. It gets to a point where we can get so comfortable where we are that we are without a fight. The desire to fight on our knees for our loved ones and to hide in that secret place has been choked out and pushed away. The love has waxed cold. If we have recognized that we've stepped back from the front lines, from the place where God the Father has put us, let it be a red flag to ourselves that we must get back to the front lines with Jesus Christ. It will be a battle to get back to Him, but don't give up. God the Father can only protect and strengthen those who follow Him with a willing heart. God bless you. Amen
