Bear fruit

"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me" (John 15:4 ESV). We are helpless and useless without the Lord within us. We must search ourselves and ask if there is anything that is stopping us from truly abiding in Christ Jesus. What stops you from reaching out to the Lord? Jesus has spoken to us many times through the Scriptures and said "abide in me and I will abide in you". Are we really walking with Him, speaking to Him, and abiding in Him? Or are we relaxed and content where we are, with very little of Him? Jesus is the True Vine. He alone is the Source of Life. God the Father is not just the Vine Dresser, but He is also the Owner, the Creator of us all. Every believer is going to have times of growth in their lives, if they have faith in Christ Jesus. Only the Holy Spirit can bring forth this growth and His fruit, the fruit that shows the finished work of Christ. Abiding in Him means we will seek Him, desire Him, and be found in Jesus Christ. Let nothing separate you from Christ our Lord. "If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned" (vs. 6). Our lives wither away without Christ in them. We must stand in faith in this last hour, believe with all of our hearts, and watch the fruit come forth that will glorify God. God bless you. Amen
