Obeyed

"By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going" (Hebrews 11:8 NKJV). Sometimes it doesn't feel good when we are being tried in this wilderness. Whoever said Christianity was easy must not have been tried or tested themselves. When God begins to deal with the heart at a deeper level, sometimes it can hurt deep inside. Other times it is a blessing when things are going right in our lives. However, there is a constant dying to self in this walk with our Lord Jesus. For those who are willing to go beyond the Jordan, Christ will bring to the surface of their hearts the very issues that they must face and possibly renounce in order to continue this journey with Him. This takes a deep faith that can only come from the throne of God. This faith is found in the Word of God and alone with God in the prayer closet. He uses the issues that surround us everyday to build up our faith in Him. God is constantly training us and trying to get our attention to rely on Him more and more every new day. The great patriarchs, who stood up for the truth, were also tried and tested by God continually. For those who saw these men and women did not see them only, but they saw Christ living through them. Christ needs us all at a higher level of faith, and along with that higher level of faith comes the proper works. It isn't an easy walk, but with great faith the mountains will move. Let's take our eyes off the problems and put them upon that great city that is made in the sky, the home the Lord has called us to for eternity. God bless you. Amen
