Confusion

"Now it happened, when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabs, the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites heard that the walls of Jerusalem were being restored and the gaps were beginning to be closed, that they became very angry, and all of them conspired together to come and attack Jerusalem and create confusion" (Nehemiah 4:7, 8 NKJV). All Christian workers must expect opposition and discouragement from the world and even from the church. Nehemiah was ridiculed and mocked by the enemy, but he was determined to see the Lord's will done for God's children. He kept on seeking and praying to God, along with many others. Prayer and watchfulness always brings victory. Nehemiah saw how the gates of the city were burned down and the walls were broken down in many of the parts surrounding the city. He was crushed in his heart and vexed in his spirit to see the state that his people were in. The things we see with our own eyes could easily defeat the soul. Nehemiah did not let the "now", the way things look, get him defeated. He made up his mind to press in with the Lord. He prayed, fasted, and allowed Christ to move the spiritual mountains that were in the way of him achieving the desires of his heart. It takes prayer to move the opposition back and to bring God's glory into place. This may not stop the threats of the adversaries immediately, but don't lose hope because victory is moments away. This is a war. This fight is "the good fight of faith". It takes laborers that will fight on the front lines in prayer and fasting. There's no room for bystanders in this fight. Keep guard and stay fully armed. God bless you. Amen
