Bid me to come

"And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water" (‭Matthew‬ ‭14‬:‭28‬ KJV). Step out of the boat and walk to Jesus. What do you think Peter was thinking when he asked Jesus to call him out upon the waters? Mind you, there was a storm all around them with wind blowing and waves tossing their boat around. Faith in Christ Jesus put Peter out of the boat. He heard the voice of his Master, and he was not about to stay inside a boat that was being tossed by waves. Peter knew it would be safer with the Man who can control the storms. Step out of the boat, step out of religion, step out from the pew, and step into Christ Jesus. Peter knew who Jesus was, and not even fear was going to keep him in a place where he felt secure. God wants to show us Himself every day of our lives, and the place He will show up is in prayer. We must be seeking and desiring, and in the times when the winds do blow and the waves do toss us around, God will show up. Step out of the boat. Do not let fear hold you back from seeing Jesus in the midst of you. Jesus is calling us all saying, "Come and take a step of faith", just as Peter did. "He said, Come! So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus" (‭Matthew‬ ‭14‬:‭29‬ AMP). Peter walked on water because he wanted to be with our Savior. God bless you. Amen
