Everlasting love
"The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee" (Jeremiah 31:3 KJV). Everyone loves to be loved by someone. Love is more than a feeling. It is one's confidence and trust in another. It is a deep want and desire to be with one another and to grow together, not for a season only but into eternity. The apostle Paul speaks about love in the epistle to the church of Corinth. He says we can have everything in this world but if one does not have love they have nothing. We can give to the poor or be burned at the stake, and if we do not have love we profit nothing. Love makes the difference in our lives. We serve a God who loves every one of us with an everlasting love. His love oversees our wrongs. While we were sinners lost in our addictions, ungodly habits, and selfish desires, Christ came to this earth with great love and died for us. To ignore such a love would be ignorance. We have a choice every day to choose the love of Christ in our lives and to love Him back or to disregard His love. "But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for love will cover a multitude of sins.” (I Peter 4:7-8 NKJV). God bless you. Amen
