Healed
"And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague" (Mark 5:29 KJV) Before coming to Christ, I used to look for help from everyone possible and from many other things. I would try to find a physician or a remedy that would fulfill my emptiness. Let me tell you, the world is more than happy to give us what they call a "quick fix" for our emptiness and the void that is within our hearts. However, the more of these "quick fixes" I got the greater the need became. Man can only put a bandage over our hearts. They do not have the tools to go in and fulfill the void. I recognized I was powerless to fulfill the void in my life and so was everyone else that I asked for help from. There are many people, possibly even born again believers, who are on prescription medication, whether it is for anxiety, pain, depression, or any other illness that haunts the body. At one time, the church was a place of healing and restoration. It was the first place the sick, the sinner, the lost, and the needy went. However, now the hospitals, prisons, and mental wards are filled with people with illnesses and wickedness, when the church should once again be the first place they go to. See, the woman with the issue of blood stepped out from doubt and into faith, and in doing so she received her healing. Immediately the flow stopped. We, as born-again believers, have that same faith inside of us. The moment we excepted Jesus Christ as our Savior He gave us that same faith that the woman had, as a gift, the faith to step out and trust Him. God bless you. Amen
