Followers of God.

"Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children" (Ephesians 5:1 KJV). Do our lives reflect a daily commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ? Is our walk with Jesus getting stronger every day? Have we grown much more in the faith and love of the Lord since we first met Him? There is a growth that takes place in the life of one who follows Christ with their whole heart. This growth takes time, and it also takes the effort of the believer in order to grow. Growth does not come by just going to church, but by allowing Jesus Christ, the head of the church, to renew our lives from the inside out. A true repentance is required from the believers' heart in order for them to follow Christ faithfully. Jesus Christ will bring the growth, and this growth comes by the Holy Spirit, and only by Him. Everything Jesus Christ has is freely given to us. All we have to do is follow Him as dear children follow their father. He has paved the way for an everlasting life. He has given us everything we need. All we have to do is ask, and ask with faith. We may lack in certain areas of our lives. The Lord Jesus Christ sees that lack and encourages us to lean on Him with faith and watch that area of our life become sustained with His grace. The Spirit of God is here to teach us how to be true children of God. He wants us to be like the child who looks up to their daddy, and wants to be just like him when they grow up. In return, the father looks down with great love upon the child. It's up to us, and how willing we are to follow Christ in a true relationship with Him. God bless you. Amen
