If you stand

"Because now we [really] live, if you stand [firm] in The Lord" (1 Thessalonians 3:8 AMP). It is our relationship with Jesus that makes this walk with Him stronger and immovable. It matters how much time we spend with Christ daily because this life with Jesus is not based just on knowledge or belief. It is totally based on our relationship and intimacy with Him. Our relationship with our Lord is no different from a husband and a wife and their relationship. They both had to get to know one another and spend time with each other as a couple before they ever thought about getting married to one another. They talked about what each one liked and did not like. They told one another secrets and dreams, along with their own life's desires. As time goes by, they begin to trust one another and fall in love. They begin to have deeper feelings for each other, a desire to spend a lifetime together. So, they get married and begin to grow together as one. Yes, they will have hard times, but it is in those hard times that their trust and love for one another begins to bloom fruit and they grow stronger. Our relationship with Jesus Christ is no different. It begins with us trusting and abiding in Him. It would not be a strong relationship if the husband would only talk to his wife a few times a week. What kind of a relationship would manifest out of that marriage? One that would probably not last very long. Find time for Jesus Christ, for He is the greatest gift given to all humanity upon this earth. He has come to know us. God bless you. Amen
