Power of death

"Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil" (Hebrews 2:14 KJV). Jesus brought us victory at Calvary. He destroyed the works of the enemy openly at the cross. Those who walk in faithfulness and in the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ have the victory over this world. There is victory for those who believe in and rely on Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. There is no excuse for us to stay defeated and to live as outcasts in this world. Jesus speaks so clearly by saying, "For whosoever is born of God is victorious over the world" (1John 5:4). He not only spoke it, but He brought it into existence by defeating the devil through nailing it all to the cross. We are the children of God. He sure did not leave us helpless, but He has given us a life of great victory if we believe. He defeated the devil who had the power of death, and now Christ has given us the same authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions. Satan has no power over the children of God who stand on the cross and what Jesus did for all of us at Calvary. God is good. He has made a way for every believer. God bless you. Amen
