But yours be done.

Jesus surrendered all His life in the Garden of Gethsemane. He said, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.” (Luke 22:42 ESV). Have we surrendered all our of our hearts and lives to God the Father? Jesus knew the pain, torment, and rejection He was about to go through, but nothing, not even the past or what was to come in the future, held Him back from receiving His fate in the cup. He was about to receive the greatest heartache and heartbreak that man has ever placed upon His heart. However, when He surrendered His whole will unto God, He knew without a doubt that He was more than able to do what He was destined to do even before the foundations of the world. He picked up God's will. From then on, Jesus, the Son of God, pressed on towards Calvary, and there was nothing that could stop Him. Neither sin nor death could hold Him down. Jesus knew death could not hold Him down under the will of God the Father. So, just as we are on this earth, as Jesus once was, we must know, understand, and believe, as believers in Jesus Christ, that death cannot hold us down either, nor can it stop us. It is not the end. It is the beginning of real life. Surrender the whole of your soul, heart, and mind to God the Father and see and experience the Door, Jesus Christ, open. God bless you. Amen
