The devil is Defeated

"You were an anointed guardian cherub. I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God; in the midst of the stones of fire you walked" (Ezekiel 28:14 ESV). The devil might be a little upset with you when you begin to seek God in a more passionate way. He once had the pleasure to be in God's great presence, but he lost it all due to pride. So, he doesn't like the fact that you are craving God more deeply than ever before. He's going to try to stop you in every way and form. He doesn't care who he hurts or steps on in the process of stopping you from seeking God. Satan once had his place there in heaven with God. He was seen as God's beautiful cherub, but the facts are that satan desires to be above God and to do his own thing. "You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north'"(Isaiah 14:13 ESV). All satan wants is to be worshiped, and in doing so he will try to corrupt and lead astray hearts of innocent men, women, and even children. He might be on the prowl, but we, as born again children of God, have the victory over him through our faith in Jesus Christ. We have him beat, and he sure is miserable about it. God bless you. Amen
