I seek thee

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is" (Psalms 63:1 KJV). King David was a man familiar with spiritual storms and spiritual deserts. He was a man after God's own heart, but he was just a man. This man went through a lot, even with Saul after his life. However, King David learned when the enemy came as a threat to his life, there was a strong hold and a place of rest and protection. He stood on the Word of God. As much as the enemy would've loved to break King David's spirit, he couldn't because King David knew where to run when the threats came in. Satan is out to deceive and tempt us. He would love to shake us in every way he possibly could. Satan is not after our spirit as much as he is after our faith. If he can get a little bit of faith broken off of the hearts of the believer, he will not rest until he gets it all. He is so determined to defeat us. There's no time to relax or go through the motions, but it's time to stand in faith against the onslaughts and the fiery arrows of the enemy. It is constant faith in Jesus Christ that brings us to the rock of salvation. King David never lost hope, even in the driest times or when the enemy stared at him. He was determined to reach Christ. "My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me"(vs.8). King David stood in God's truth, and so shall we. God bless you. Amen
