Jonah prayed

"Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish's belly" (Jonah 2:1 KJV). God will hear our cries, even if one is crying from the bottom of the Earth. The prophet Jonah did not follow the command of the Lord, but he chose to do his own thing, just like many today who choose to do their own thing, which is the opposite of the Lord. They may find themselves far from God, but they are only a cry away from him. Jonah found himself where he saw the roots of the mountain surrounding him. He was in the bottom of the abyss and going deeper and deeper. He was in hell. There is no escaping that point of spiritual death through one's own strength. We may find ourselves wishing we would've never done what we have done. Many in the church house today are confused, lost, and guilty of sin. They have gone too far. They have ignored the call and command of the Lord in order to do their own thing. Maybe God Has commanded a storm to rise in the midst of them, not to hurt them, but to get their attention and to hear their voice and their cry once again. The only way through a storm is when Jesus is among us. It is Him and only Him that can calm the storm. "When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord : and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple" (Vs.7). Cry out to the Lord. God bless you. Amen
