Fit for the Kingdom

"Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:62 ESV). Prayer prepares the ground for the seed of God to be planted. We must be tillers of the ground, preparing the way for the Lord, the gospel of Christ. We must be tillers not only in the church house but in prayer for the whole world. How can the Word of God, which is a powerful seed, remain in the heart of man if the heart has not been prepared? How can it began to grow if it is not being tended to in deep prayer and petition with our Lord Jesus? There's no way for that precious Word to grow within the heart of man without precious prayer. There is no way it's going to expand and grow into a beautiful tree of life unless it is watered in the presence of God through prayer. It is time we put our hands to the plow and not look back to the world or at our own desires, which can deceive us or lead us astray. We are all called to labor for the sake of the Gospel. The laborers are few, and God has called us to pray for the laborers. He's called us to be good stewards, not only in the house of God but in our own houses as well, bringing God's presence into our houses through prayer. Prayer gives the Holy Spirit entrance into man's heart and also allows Him to help us in prayer and petition. He also helps to lead and guide us when we leave the closet of prayer. Let us labor for the bread that comes from heaven above, Jesus Christ. God bless you. Amen
