I am praying
"I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours" (John 17:9 ESV). Jesus did not start a new day or minister before He sought God in prayer. His whole ministry was all about prayer, and everything He did was based on prayer and through the power of prayer. He clearly shows us that prayer should be the first part of our lives in every new day. He could not do anything for God without prayer. Prayer kept Him in touch with the Father every day. We, as believers, are weak and fragile. We have to understand that when we pray with our whole hearts it not only brings God's strength in times of need but also His purpose to our spirits. The first church was formed upon prayer. They grew and found security, stability, resources, and above all a deep loving relationship with Christ. They knew without prayer the Source of Life, the Living Waters, would not manifest. It would all be in vain and without purpose. Jesus prayed with agony that filled His heart. We filled His heart, and He cried out for you and I. Jesus brought heaven to Earth through His prayer. He drew God near to man, and through our praying we also draw God near to us. It's up to us. It's our choice. If we want to see the Spirit of God move, we must move in prayer. God bless you. Amen
